It’s no secret that the Big N is protective over its properties, and it should be. Nintendo has filed numerous lawsuits to protect its various IPs, and this has resulted in Nintendo being a rather steady ship when it comes to leaks. There are not many verifiable leaks for any Nintendo property, including Pokemon, and this means fans should ignore most Pokemon Scarlet and Violet leaks.

That said, there is one leaker trusted by the Pokemon community: Riddler Khu. Everything this account says should still be taken with a grain of salt, but they've been accurate with Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, Pokemon Legends: Arceus, and had accurately leaked the design concepts of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s starters ahead of their confirmation.

Riddle Khu’s words, then, are a little more reliable than some anonymous user online, but they should still be taken with a grain of salt. What they’ve said thus far also paints a pretty picture for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s Pokedex.

What everyone should be aware of, however, is that Khu doesn’t come straight out and give away information. They either enjoy making the riddles or genuinely have to. For example, Riddler Khu posted four emojis ahead of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s reveal: a leaf, a cat, a fire symbol, and a crocodile, obviously corresponding to a cat grass starter and crocodile fire starter. Understanding many of Khu’s leaks though relies on his followers to dissect them and explain them, as many have grown accustomed to their style.

Khu was also the first one to suggest that the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet gimmick could be type changes, yet to what capacity neither have they nor Pokemon Scarlet and Violet revealed.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet – The Water/Ground Leak Explained

Perhaps one of Khu’s recent, most complex riddles included a series of numbers (2,3,4,5), hexadecimal values, and HTML codes for specific colors. It took some time to crack this one, but many have noted that the colors were blue and brown, specifically the same shade used for the Water and Ground-types. Many think this, in combination with the numbers, suggests that one of the Water/Ground types from Gens 2-5 will get a regional form. These include Quagsire, Gastrodon, Whiscash, Seismitoad, and Swampert.

Swampert is likely if only because many starters have received new forms one way or another across generations, but Whiscash may be another likely one. This is because Spain has many catfish-related traditions, and Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are clearly based on Spain.

Pokemon Groudon & Kyogre

Another recent leak from Khu came in a series of three posts, each showing an odd portion of a Pokemon. Keeping up with the regional forms theme Khu has focused on lately, many think these Pokemon parts are hints at what may get regional forms. Interestingly enough, each of these parts corresponds with a legendary Pokemon, suggesting that a handful of Legendary Pokemon will get regional forms in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

This has precedence, too. Players were introduced to Galarian Zapdos, Galarian Moltres, and Galarian Articuno in Pokemon Sword and Shield, and it would make sense that it happens here too. Many have deduced that the various parts Khu has teased include Gen 2’s Lugia and Gen 3’s Groudon and Kyogre, making for an interesting addition to the game.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Leaks: Objectmon, Waifumon, and More

The latest Pokemon Scarlet and Violet leak, or tease, comes in the form of a poll from Riddler Khu. As Khu has focused on regional forms here lately, they asked what fans wanted to see in June. These options include more information on Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s starters, which is leading in the vote as of this writing, and Gen 9 Objectmon, a new RF (regional form), or Waifumon.

These are obviously as big as the other leaks, nor are they all surprising, but the insistence on Objectmon means there is at least ONE Pokemon in Scarlet and Violet based on items and objects instead of animals, myths, etc. Examples of Objectmon in the past include Cofagrigus (a sacorphagus), Sinistea (a teacup), Vanilluxe (an ice cream cone), Chandelure (a chandelier), and so on. Most regions have Objectmon of some sort, but a little confirmation based on this poll is nice.

Waifumon are not as common as Objectmon, either in the games or in terminology, but it accounts for a Pokemon with a feminine design that some fans would marry. Common Waifumon in the franchise include Gardevoir, Lopunny, and Gothitelle. What this means is that there is at least one new Pokemon in Scarlet and Violet with a clearly feminine design.

Khu’s leaks may give fans something to discuss and look forward to, but hopefully, Nintendo and Game Freak pull back more of the curtain on Pokemon Scarlet and Violet soon.
