According to Riddler Khu, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet won't feature the popular Battle Tower feature. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet leaks are a dime-a-dozen, but Khu and Kaka are some of the most prominent and respected leakers in the community. Khu has been right on numerous occasions, regarding new Pokemon reveals like Grafaiai and the starters.

The Battle Tower sees players enter battle with certain rules and are required to register their team. It doesn't reward experience or money traditionally but is for "bragging rights" and rare items. Not every generation of Pokemon has featured a Battle Tower, but Pokemon Gold and Silver, Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire, Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, and Pokemon Sword and Shield all have one.

Because of this, it would seem likely that a Battle Tower would appear in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, but according to Khu, that's not recently the case. Khu recently posted something that, when translated from Chinese, asks fans if they want to climb the tower but then negates that possibility, implying the Battle Tower is not in the game. This is not necessarily surprising, but a Battle Tower would likely fit most in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's open-world design, as it would be a go-to source for rare items.

At the same time, it should be noted that other leaks suggest Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will receive DLC like Sword and Shield. It does seem the days of special third editions are done, and DLC expands on these games nicely. Perhaps the Battle Tower could appear then, but this is only speculation.

Many may wish to avoid Pokemon Scarlet and Violet leaks to go into the game with more surprises, but it should be noted the official marketing has been really scarce. So close to Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's launch, only a handful of Pokemon have been revealed. No one is expecting every single Pokemon to be revealed, but the marketing would seemingly suggest that there is not many new Pokemon. Mostly reliables leaks, on the other hand, suggest that there are 100+. One's understanding of the upcoming gen varies vastly, depending on their online presence, and it's a little odd to think about.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet release on November 18, exclusively for Nintendo Switch.
