Pokemon Scarlet & Violet's Indigo Disk DLC introduced a plethora of Paradox Pokemon, which are extremely strong ancestors of some well-known Pokemon, and Raging Bolt has quickly grown in popularity amidst them.

Apart from Pokemon like Jigglypuff getting a Paradox variant in the form of Scream Tail, there are some iconic legendaries also getting this treatment. For instance, Raikou's Paradox form is Raging Bolt which has an interesting Electric and Dragon-type matchup. That's not all, it also undergoes a significant change in its visual appearance, with its elongated neck being the highlight of its physical traits. For players looking to catch Raging Bolt, here is everything they need to know.

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet: How To Get Raging Bolt

To get Raging Bolt in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, players need to follow a similar approach as catching Gouging Fire. Just like Gouging Fire, Raging Bolt is a Paradox Pokemon that is exclusive only to Pokemon Scarlet.

The first and foremost requirement is that the Perrin questline should be completed. For players who are unaware of it, they will encounter the NPC in the Kitakami region, and it is also the one who leads them to Bloodmoon Ursaluna. After completing the first quest, which is catching 150 Pokemon in the Kitakami Pokedex and battling Bloodmoon Ursauluna, players can then meet with Perrin once again in the Blueberry Academy.

Perrin can be found in Savanna Rest Area 1 and will have yet another task for players, which is to catch 200 Pokemon from the Blueberry Academy Pokedex. Once that's done, players need to meet Perrin once again and then head to Area Zero. Inside Area Zero, players should keep heading straight until they reach a ledge. From there, they should jump towards the left, and follow the waterfall which leads into a hole. The waterfall is towards the extreme left, so players will need to use Koraidon to glide and reach the exact location. Once players reach the end of the waterfall, they will find Raging Bolt waiting for them.

As always, it is crucial to save the game before trying to catch it in case players knock down the Pokemon accidentally. Additionally, considering how evasive these Pokemon can be, ensuring that there are attacks that can inflict status effects like sleep can prove to be quite useful as well. Raging Bolt is weak to ground, dragon, ice, and fairy-type moves, so players should have a team ready accordingly to take it on.
