The Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC introduces many new Pokemon, one of them being a new evolution of Applin, which players can easily get almost immediately after starting the new downloadable content. The Teal Mask is the first part of the all-new DLC, which brought the evolution of Applin called Dipplin, making the Pokemon now officially have three different evolutions.

After downloading the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet expansion, players will be able to dive right into the world of Kitakami. This new map has many Pokemon for players to collect that they won't have yet. It is super easy to get Applin at the beginning stages of the Kitakami map due to the many apple trees. Acquiring the necessary apples to evolve this Pokemon is also quite straightforward.

Where to Find Applin

Finding Applin in the wild is fairly easy if players make their way over to the apple tree orchard by the Kitakami Road. If players want a boosted chance of Applins spawning, they will want to eat a meal that increases the chances of encountering a Dragon-type Pokemon.

Players will want to ride on Koraidon or Miraidon and use the dash ability, which can be unlocked by defeating the Stony Cliff Titan in Pladea. While dashing through the apple trees, players will see Applins hanging off branches or sitting on the ground beside trees, acting as if they were actual apples.

Apple fields are also great places to pick up items such as Sweet Apples and Tart Apples. These two items are very important to Applin as the Sweet Apple evolves the Pokemon into Flapple and Tart Apples evolves it into Appletun.

How to Evolve Applin into Dipplin

The key to evolving Applin into Dipplin is by using what is called a Syrupy Apple, which is basically a red apple that looks like it is covered in syrup. Giving one of these to an Applin of any level will cause it to evolve into Dipplin. These apples can be purchased in Kitakami from a little unattended stand close to a different apple tree orchard. Players will want to head over to Mossfell Confluence, and they will see the stand next to a shed by the orchard.

The apples will then be located in the player's trainer bag under "Other Items," which contains many different items used to evolve and power up different Pokemon. Some other things to note about Applin and its evolutions are that it is a Grass and Dragon Pokemon type, and each of its three evolutions is the final version.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are available for the Nintendo Switch.
