In datamining done before the official release of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet in November, the list of Pokemon that would be able to be transferred to the Paldea from Pokemon Home was revealed. The datamining was able to be done thanks to a ROM of the game being leaked, and the game files were thoroughly dug through by miners. In the list of transferrable mons there were a lot of classic pocket monsters named -- Mewtwo, Mew, Rayquaza, and Giratina are among the most popular. There were modern Pokemon as well, though.

Pokemon Legends: Arceus is a fan favorite series that takes trainers through the Hisui region and features many regional forms of Pokemon like Zoroark, Sneasle, or Typhlosion. It also added evolutions to older Pokemon that needed a bit of a touch up like Ursaluna or Basculegion. Thanks to the fanfare a lot of these Pokemon got, a good chunk of them will be able to be brought into the Paldea region. However, these critters are some of the most powerful that the series has seen and will likely see a lot of usage in competitive formats. Between some of the abilities, moves, and stats that these mons have, they could prove to be overpowered once they're brought into competitive battling.

Ursaluna is an evolution of Ursaring that originates from the Hisui region when exposed to a Peat Block under a full moon. It is among the Pokemon from Hisui that will be able to be brought into the Paldea region of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet and will likely be dominant in competitive formats. It's a tough tank and heavy hitter that can quickly ruin an opposing trainer's day with a Guts boosted Facade or Earthquake, and has staying power thanks to getting Drain Punch in this generation. It has fantastic stats, moves, and Guts is one of the best abilities in the game.

Wyrdeer is the evolution of Stantler and provides some pretty good utility. It gets decent Physical Attack on its own, but counters other Physical Attackers very well with its ability Intimidate, and its signature move Psyshield Bash, which raises Wyrdeer's Defense when used. Normal and Psychic is also a good typing offensively and defensively. With the utility it could provide as a tank it could get some usage, especially if players are faced with a team featuring Amoonguss.

Hisuian Lilligant is another excellent Physical Attacker hailing from Hisui, and has the potential to be one of the most potent set up Pokemon in the Pokedex. Its signature move, Victory Dance, raises Speed, Attack, and Defense by one stage each (1.5x the base stat). This paired with a move set filled to the brim with overwhelming attacks like Close Combat, Leaf Blade, and Drain Punch makes it a threat to one-shot a lot of Pokemon. With the ability Chlorophyll, if it is on a field with harsh sunlight it doubles its speed -- making it 210 base speed in sun. Pairing Hisuian Lilligant on a team with Torkoal or Koraidon would make a lot of sense for players and may become a meta-defining pairing.

Enamorus is a member of the Forces of Nature just like Tornadus, Thundurus, and Landorus. It has two forms just like every other Genie -- an Incarnate Form and a Therian Form. The Incarnate Form is a far faster mon than the Therian Form, but the Therian Form is far bulkier than the frail Incarnate Form. Both have base stat totals of 580, with the Special Attack of 135 being the same between both and especially high.

The Fairy and Flying typing is excellent for offensive coverage, and it gets moves like Moonblast, Springtide Storm, and Earth Power that are great for STAB or coverage. It will be a great special attacker and trainers can make a choice between speed or bulk with what form they would like to use. It will differ depending on what role they would like Enamorus to fill, but its likely that either way it will be a powerhouse.

Hisuian Typhlosion will be one of the best Fire-type Pokemon in the game when Pokemon Home opens up for transferring. It is both a Fire-type and Ghost-type Pokemon which provides it with a great offensive typing that hits six types for super effective damage -- both types also have very powerful moves that Hisuian Typhlosion can get STAB for. It gets Shadow Ball, Shadow Claw, Flamethrower, and Infernal Parade which all can provide excellent damage output due to STAB and Hisuian Typhlosion's fantastic 119 base Special Attack stat total.

Hisuian Zoroark is a speedy Special Attacker that will see less usage than the rest of the Hisuian Pokemon due to it being a frail Pokemon that can't take much damage, but in lower tiers of competitive formats it could see some usage. This is of course due to it being a great Special Attacker with a base 125 Special Attack stat and a base 110 Speed stat. It has a signature move named Bitter Malice that does 75 base damage. This is not great on the surface, but it deals double damage if its target has a status condition and after STAB that is a lot of damage. It also gets Will-O-Wisp, so it can inflict a status condition. With so many strengths, it seems likely that Hisuian Pokemon will dominate the competition.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is now available on Nintendo Switch.
