A fan-favorite element of the Pokemon franchise is Mega Evolution, introduced in generation 6 in Pokemon X & Y; it is a temporary evolution that changes the design, stats, and sometimes types of a Pokemon.

However, since Pokemon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, there have been no new Mega Evolutions introduced, much to the fans' disappointment. This is more than prominent when the new games Pokemon Scarlet & Violet were introduced, and some of the Pokemon require that extra power that Mega Evolution offers. Fans are crying out for the feature to be brought back and even creating their own designs for certain Pokemon.

10 Spidops

Spidops' Pokedex Entry In Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

Spidops is a fairly underused generation 9 Pokemon with low leveled stats, single typing, and a sub-par design. This bug type is screaming out for a Mega Evolution as it has the lowest base stats on any of the fully-evolved Pokemon introduced in Scarlet & Violet. However, not all hope is lost for this spider.

What Spidops does have to go for is its signature move Silk Trap, which only it can learn, and the Mega should play on this fact and have an interesting design using silk, creating weapons or armor with the thread it creates. Perhaps a secondary type should be added, and based on its design, dark would be the best way to go.

9 Kilowattrel

Kilowattrel In Pokemon Scarlet & Violet-1

The early-game bird Pokemon are always very useful in the franchise, and Kilowattrel is no exception. It has a great special attack at 105 and fantastic speed at 125, but the rest of its stats are quite low.

A boost to its defensive stats would be beneficial in its Mega, maybe with a thunder cloud acting as its armor. A great way to go with this would be to remove its flying type and change its ability to levitate. This would mean it would be a solo electric-type with no weakness' as ground moves won't affect it thanks to its ability.

8 Tauros (All Forms)

All Forms Of Tauros

Fans have been requesting an evolution of Tauros for many years, but Game Freak has never delivered on this promise; however, in Scarlet & Violet the generation 1 bull did get 3 different forms. The fighting type 'combat breed', the fighting/fire 'blaze breed', and the fighting/water 'aqua breed.'

However, there is still this itch that needs to be scratched that Tauros needs evolution, and this could come in the form of a mega. A Minotaur design could be right in the direction of the head; all forms could have the same one, which is a water/fire type, perhaps with a fiery horn and watery horn.

7 Scovillain

Scovillain's Pokedex Entry In Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

The type of fire/grass has never been done before, and it was only a matter of time before this type of combination came to fruition, but fans feel that Scovillain is a little lackluster.

This could be changed up with a Mega Evolution, giving it a more fiery and plant-like look to it. It has a dragon-like look to it, so the design could enhance that and have a chili pepper dragon with fire and vines encasing its body. An improvement on all its stats is also required, with a focus on an increase to its special attack.

6 Tatsugiri

All Forms Of Tatsugiri In Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

Tatsugiri is a great Pokemon in the game, one of the best dragon-types introduced in Paldea. Its sushi-like design is fantastic, and its special attack of 120 is really impressive. However, it doesn't have a finished look to its design, and it appears to be missing something. Looking at this Pokemon, the average fan wouldn't think it is anything impressive.

A Mega Evolution could improve this, keeping the sushi theme but making it look a bit more like a dragon. Perhaps use a design based around what if a dragon was turned into sushi, a fishy dragon rolled up in seaweed. This mega would improve on its physical, attack, defense, and speed.

5 Oinkologne

Both Forms Of Oinkologne

Lechonk captured the hearts of fans from its introduction in the Pokemon Scarlet & Violet trailer; its name is absolutely perfect. However, its evolved form doesn't have the same feel to it. Oinkolonge is not very useable in the game with low attack stats. This can be improved with a Mega Evolution.

Making it a boar with menacing tusks and a secondary typing of ground would be an amazing direction, improving on its attacking stats and adding a STAB to its Earth Power, learned at level 45.

4 Dudunsparce

Dudunsparce In Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

Pokemon fans were crying out for an evolution of Dunsparce, and this finally came with Dudunsparce, but not quite how fans expected. Dudunsparce is essentially Dunsparce with an extra one or two bodies, an underwhelming design.

Speculation of Dunsparce having an underlying power has been present since Gold & Silver, but Dudunsparce did not deliver. A dragon-type Mega Evolution with larger wings, ferocious teeth, and an even larger drill could be just what the Pokemon needs to give it that edge fans sought after.

3 Brambleghast

Brambleghast In Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

Making use of the new Let's Go feature in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, Bramblin evolves into Brambleghast after walking 1,000 steps outside of its Pokeball, a great method of evolution.

However, its design is less than impressive; there is just not a lot to it. The ghost type is largely missing from its design, and this could be improved upon with a Mega Evolution. Adding ghostly thorns to its body will improve the ghastly element of its design. Brambleghast could also use some more HP and defensive stats; a better ability is also something that should be thought about.

2 Klawf

Titan Pokemon Klawf In Scarlet & Violet

Klawf was made famous for being one of the Titan Pokemon in Scarlet & Violet, and this rock Pokemon is decent in the game with great attack and defense. It doesn't have an evolution, however, and this may put some users off. Although, a lot of fans have taken to this crab Pokemon.

A mega evolution would work well here as Klawf's design is fairly simple, and there's not too much about its design that screams it is a rock type. This could be changed up by adding more rocks to it, maybe turning it into a lobster with a big rock tail. Adding a secondary type also wouldn't go a miss, with the obvious choice being water.

1 Revaroom

Revaroom In Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

Revaroom already sort of has a mega evolution, each leader of the team star bases has a special Revaroom which is known as the Team Starmobile. Every one of these Starmobile has a different type which reflects the type of the base. The idea of Revaroom is it is an enginez so putting it into a vehicle is the perfect next step.

The idea for the Mega Evolution is already there, and it is up to Game Freak to implement this in Revaroom, as it cannot change to a Starmobile in the game. Maybe this idea will come in a future DLC for Pokemon Scarlet & Violet.

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet are available now on Nintendo Switch.
