A ridiculous glitch recently documented by a player in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet shows their Kingambit performing an over-the-top celebration after winning a battle, with the Pokemon starting to spin rapidly on the spot after defeating a wild Pokemon. This odd bug is just one of countless similar errors that players of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have been constantly experiencing since the games launched, with the latest Generation 9 titles receiving some serious backlash from fans due to the technical issues involved with them.

Although Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have undoubtedly excelled in terms of both sales and popularity since they were released in November of last year, they became infamous for their many weird glitches, performance problems, and crashes since the very start. While the poor graphics in Scarlet and Violet also came as a disappointment to many players, it was the abundance of glitches that came as the biggest surprise to Trainers around the world, with many fans naming the Generation 9 titles as the most poorly-polished games in the franchise's history. While the games' bugs can range between annoying to outright ridiculous, the majority of them appear to provide a nearly endless source of hilarious moments that regularly rack up thousands of views across social media, with many players still encountering strange new glitches even months after launch.

One fan named mochacap on Reddit recently posted a moment that they recorded to the site, which featured their Kingambit spinning quickly on the spot after they defeated an enemy Kilowattrel in a battle. This likely had something to do with the fact that the Pokemon was stuck on a small platform above the water, but in any case, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's new open-world mechanics have led to no end of similar predicaments for Pokemon trying to navigate the Paldea region. Other players have frequently shared their own clips showing bugs which cause Pokemon to fall from cliffs, vanish into thin air, or even clip through walls.

Although most of the glitches in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet don't often cause problems for players, many shiny-hunting enthusiasts claim that issues relating to Pokemon getting stuck in terrain have proved to complicate hunts for shiny Pokemon. The lack of sparkling effects and sounds upon encountering a shiny Pokemon have been one of the major complaints from the community, as they can make shinies difficult to spot in the overworld, but some Scarlet and Violet fans have also proved that it's possible for shiny Pokemon to spawn out of the map bounds.

Despite the games' shortcomings, many Pokemon fans have been enjoying the Generation 9 titles more than they had expected thanks to the compelling story, world, and characters. These aspects have long been a strong point of the franchise, though some players still hold onto hope that Scarlet and Violet's upcoming 1.2 patch helps to address the performance issues and glitches seen in the games.
