Whenever a new generation of Pokemon arrives, there are usually fans who will find themselves attracted to some of the newly revealed Pokemon, as is the case with Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. In this instance, one fan's attachment has led them to make an alteration to their sweatshirt out of their new love for Lechonk, a chunky pig Pokemon that players will be able to catch in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

During the newly released trailer for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, Lechonk instantly endeared itself to fans, mainly for its name. Lechonk easily won over the Internet on the day of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's second trailer, with many people online proclaiming the Pokemon as their new favorite.

One fan on Reddit, Affectionate-Glass88, has decided to show off their newfound love for the new pig Pokemon by embroidering Lechonk onto their sweatshirt for the world to see. Since they put the Lechonk image over a Nike sweater, one Reddit comment proclaimed that LeBron James should make way for Lechonk in this gamer's heart and as Nike's new sponsor. Another Reddit user commented on just how quickly this image was able to be stitched onto an existing sweater, and Affectionate-Glass88 has other embroidered sweaters made as well that they are selling on Instagram.

Lechonk has been the subject of various memes online since its reveal in the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet trailer, and its fanbase seems likely to expand as more people watch the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet trailer. Fans like Affectionate-Glass88 have proven that gamers can rally around particular Pokemon and show off their life skills in appreciation of a new Pokemon to root for.

Lechonk isn't the only Pokemon that fans have rallied around from the latest trailer. Some Pokemon fans have taken a liking to Smoliv, a Pokemon with another meme-worthy name. This extremely terrified-looking olive Pokemon has won over the hearts of some fans as they see this small vegetable Pokemon cowering in fear of the world around it.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is looking to carry the momentum generated by Pokemon Legends: Arceus forward into the next generation of Pokemon. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet reconfirmed its open-world status in the latest trailer, and players will be able to tackle the game as they please. Even Pokemon gyms will apparently be scaled appropriately depending on how strong the player is. This may be the mainline open-world Pokemon game that fans have been asking for, and gamers are excited to see how it will play once it releases.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will release on November 18, 2022 on the Nintendo Switch.
