Introducing the ninth generation of Pokemon, it should come as no surprise that Pokemon Scarlet & Violet has its own DLC Expansion Pack. Much like its eighth generation predecessor, Pokemon Sword & Shield, the first part of the Scarlet/Violet DLC releases months in advance before the final part.
Pokemon Scarlet & Violet's DLC Expansion Pass (The Hidden Treasure of Area) is for The Teal Mask and the Indigo Disk. Both can be bought through the Nintendo eShop on the Nintendo Switch for $34.99. The Teal Mask is set to release September 12-13, 2023 depending on the area. Players are advised to observe the list below to get the exact time and date of Scarlet/Violet's DLC.
Pokemon Scarlet & Violet: The Teal Mask DLC Release Times
The Teal Mask DLC will be released at the following times (military time) and dates:
- Japan: September 13, 2023 (9:00)
- Central Europe: September 13, 2023 (3:00)
- UK: September 13, 2023 (2:00)
- Pacific Time: September 12, 2023 (18:00)
- Central Time: September 12, 2023 (20:00)
- Eastern Time: September 12, 2023 (21:00)
Players that have a copy of both Scarlet and Violet will need to buy The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC for each game . On the eShop, players can choose between the DLC for Scarlet or Violet .
Players will need to have started the Treasure Hunt in the base game. This entails going to Naranja/Uva Academy and unlocking the three main quests of Scarlet/Violet:
- Victory Road
- Path of Legends
- Starfall Street.
So long as players have bought the Expansion Pass and met the in-game requirements, the content should be available at their respective release times.
Keep in mind that it's only the Teal Mask DLC that becomes available on September 12-13, 2023. The Indigo Disk is set to release Winter 2023.
Content included in the Teal Mask portion of the Expansion Pass are:
- New Pokemon and new Evolutions
- New School Uniforms
- Returning Pokemon from previous generations
- A new Academy and new Characters
