The introduction of Paradox Pokemon in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet has been well-received, at least for the most part. There are of course some Paradox Pokemon that are more popular than others, but Great Tusk, Iron Treads, Roaring Moon, Iron Thorns, and so forth are some fun Pokemon designs. However, if fans had to pick a "worst" design, many would likely point to Paradox Suicune's Walking Wake. The raptor-like adaptation seems like a good idea on paper, but in practice, it's a serious downgrade for Suicune.Still, some fans are likely as split on Walking Wake as they are with Raging Bolt, the Paradox form of Raikou in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's upcoming DLC. It is clearly based on a Brachiosaurus (or long neck). Accompanying the past Paradox forms of the legendary beasts have been future Paradox forms of the Swords of Justice, with Virizion coming alongside Suicune and Cobalion coming alongside Raikou. In other words, only Entei and Terrakion (minus Keldeo) are left, so it's likely future content will explore these last two Pokemon. And while Walking Wake and Raging Bolt are downgrades, there's some hope that Entei will come in clutch with its dinosaur-based Paradox form.RELATED: Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Confirm September 2023 Tera Raids

Hopefully, Pokemon Scarlet's Entei Isn't Such a Monstrosity

While all future Paradox Pokemon are just robots, Past Paradox forms get a little more creative with their designs. The dinosaur route for Suicune and Raikou is very obvious, so the same will almost certainly apply to Entei. The question is which, and many Pokemon fans are pointing toward a triceratops being perfect for Entei. Twitter user FloofHips created some fan art of a Triceratops Entei that would be perfect for the new Pokemon, whenever it is added. It seems likely that it would be around Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's second DLC, the Indigo Disk, but that's only speculation. Indeed, Entei being based on a triceratops is also just speculation, but it does have some backing.

Twitter user ActeusDeer was quick to point out that each Paradox form embodies certain clades, leaving Entei to take on an ornithischian, or bird-hipped dinosaur. This is exciting because a triceratops is an ornithischian, as well as a stegosaurus. Knowing how Pokemon works, it could even combine and be both, with the face plate and horns of a triceratops bearing some resemblance to Entei's face and the spikes on the back fitting a stegosaurus. Of course, fans won't likely know for a while, but while Suicune and Raikou seemingly drop the ball, Entei could pick it up and slam dunk it for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

While a Triceratops-based Entei has serious potential, fans may not see its Paradox form until the end of the year. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's first DLC, the Teal Mask, recently received a September 13 release date. Meanwhile, the Indigo Disk is dated for Winter 2023, and because the Teal Mask is slipping in at the start of fall, the Indigo Disk is likely to do the same around December for Winter (and capitalize on that holiday shopping).

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are available now for Nintendo Switch.
