A Pokemon Scarlet and Violet fan comes up with an interesting theory about why there are so many Corviknight Pokemon in Area Zero within the Great Crater of Paldea. Many players are loving the vast open world that Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's Paldea region has to offer, as they are able to explore diverse locations and find a variety of different Pokemon and characters to interact with.

It is hard to believe that Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are already at the Ranked Battle Series 2, as the games have been out for over a month and a half now, and more players are dropping into the Paldea region to start their Pokemon journeys. As they do, they discover new Pokemon and other secrets in the game that raise different questions about why certain creatures populate certain areas of the map.

Reddit user Oreo the Shiny Wooloo posts a fan theory that suggests that Corviknight populates Area Zero within the Great Crater to such a degree probably because the Tinkaton that live on the rim of the north side of the Crater snipe them with rocks and the Corviknight simply fall in. This theory makes sense as Tinkaton's Pokedex Entry in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet states that because of its reckless behavior, it enjoys hitting rocks at flying Corviknight with its hammer. This is the reason that Corviknight is unable to serve as a taxi service in Paldea region to help people get from one place to another in the vast world.

The ninth generation of Pokemon games involves many new gameplay features and mechanics that define it as a unique and fresh iteration of Pokemon. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have never-before-seen type combos, the Terastalizing phenomenon, Paradox Pokemon, and, of course, their vast, open world as their big-ticket features that define them as the newest generation of Pokemon games.

As with any new generation of Pokemon games, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are full of Easter eggs and references to previous games in the franchise, more so than just the Pokemon that appear in the game from those previous generations. Corviknight is one of those previous, coming from Pokemon Sword and Shield, and the interesting interaction it has with the current gen Tinkaton creates the basis for this fan theory about the Corviknight in Area Zero.

As more players hop into Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, there are sure to be even more theories and explanations for certain interactions and phenomena that happen in the game, and fans are likely looking forward to them.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are available now for Nintendo Switch.
