This little bug-type Pokemon isn't too much of an asset at first, but once it evolves into Spidops at level 15, the Pokemon can finally show off just how strong it can be, especially against grass and dark-type Pokemon. In the competitive sense, this creature may not be the best, the greatest, or viable, but Spidops definitely can pull off some surprises and is a great Pokemon for the game's campaigns.

Counter is a fighting-type move that not many players make use of, making it pretty underappreciated. For Spidops, this move can be a great way to, well, counter against an attacking Pokemon. Spidops can learn Counter at level 24.

Counter is dependent on the opponent's Pokemon; the opponent must use a physical move against Spidops. When Spidops is damaged, Spidops uses Counter and does double the damage that Spidops took. This move can be risky as Spidops has low defense and is a bug-type but can achieve victory when in doubt.

Throat Chop is a uniquely convenient move that Spidops can use in many niche situations. Spidops will have the opportunity to learn Throat Chop at level 45. This dark-type move has a base power of 80, a base accuracy of 100, and a base PP of 15.

Rather than a base power, Reversal does more damage the more the user's health is depleted, meaning that a Spidops with 5-25 health can do some incredible damage by using Reversal. Substitute has made countless waves in the competitive community of Pokemon, as it has been seen used so many times since the competitive scene was set. For many Pokemon, this move is greatly beneficial. Spidops can learn Substitute by using TM103.

This normal-type move doesn't harm the opponent, but rather has Spidops place a decoy in its place by sacrificing 25% of its HP. Until the opponent takes out the decoy, Spidops can avoid being hit, and can even use this move in combination with Reversal for great strategy.

Poison Jab has a base power of 80, a base accuracy of 100, and a base PP of 20. This poison-type move also has a good 30% chance of poisoning the target Pokemon, which can be a great aspect towards winning a match in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet.
