A hilarious moment of gameplay captured by one fan of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet puts the spotlight on yet another bug affecting the game's NPC characters when faced with traversing a cliff, with this instance featuring Arven as he slides calmly down the edge of an almost vertical cliff on his heels. Some fans that often peruse posts shared by other players of Pokemon and Scarlet and Violet are likely aware that bugs leading to cliff-related accidents in the Paldea region are startlingly common.

It's not just glitches with NPC characters that are often seen, either. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, while being enjoyed by countless fans across the world nonetheless, have been infamous for the broad range of glitches, frame rate problems, graphical issues, and other technical errors plaguing them since they released in November of last year. Many of these problems have been so widespread in affecting players that they have led to Scarlet and Violet receiving the lowest-ever score on Metacritic out of all the core-series Pokemon games, with the world-famous franchise running for over 26 years now. That said, the vast majority of glitches discovered by players in the Generation 9 titles have been far more comedic than anything else, with many of the ridiculous moments captured by fans going viral as clips on social media.

One of the most recent clips of the game was shared on Reddit by the user AlarmedCulture6485. The attached video shows the player carefully making their way down the side of a steep cliff in one of the most wondrous places in the gorgeous new Paldea region. Their companion, however, was not so graceful in their descent as Arven can instead be seen sliding slowly down the vertical incline on his heels, wearing a perfectly calm facial expression the whole time.

Although the many glitches commonly encountered by players of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have garnered a largely negative response from most in the wider gaming community as well, neither Game Freak nor The Pokemon Company has made any significant public statement in response to the games' reception. That's not to say that they have completely ignored Scarlet and Violet's problems though, as a second patch was recently revealed to be coming to the game in late February.

It's not known what exactly fans should expect from this upcoming patch just yet, though Serebii did previously confirm that the update aims to bring bug fixes to the game along with "added functionality," though such potential features are as yet unspecified. While many fans are at least hoping for enhancements to the games' performance, others are speculating that this update could bring compatibility with Pokemon Home at last.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are available on Nintendo Switch.
