With so many new Pokemon for players to discover in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, there's a lot of debate within the community about which new Pokemon are the best within their typings. Many of the new Pokemon in the Spanish-themed region are not the most viable, but there are also several that are genuinely great Pokemon for players to consider when participating in Scarlet & Violet's competitive scene.

Fighting-type Pokemon are some of the best for players to utilize in a party. They deal super-effective damage against five different types: Ice, Dark, Rock, Steel, and Normal. Fighting-type Pokemon are weak to Psychic, Flying, and Fairy-type moves, but resistant to Dark, Bug, and Rock-type moves.
