Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have revealed two brand-new Paradox Pokemon set to join the games as special Tera Raids. The introduction of Paradox Pokemon to the newest entries in the long-running monster-catching franchise brought new variations and takes on some of the series' most iconic creatures. New Pokemon like Great Tusk and Iron Valiant have put new spins on some of Pokemon's most beloved designs, transforming Gallade, Donphan, and more into both prehistoric and futuristic appearances. Now, two new Paradox Pokemon will be introduced to the game.

The newest Paradox Pokemon announcements come as a part of a Pokemon Presents broadcast that saw several major announcements for the franchise. The Pokemon Company revealed a set of upcoming DLC for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet titled "The Hidden Treasures of Area Zero," planned to launch in two parts later this year. The franchise also made several announcements for ongoing games, like a new character in Pokemon Unite and long-awaited information about Pokemon Sleep. Among the highlights of the broadcast were the reveal of Walking Wake and Iron Leaves.

The Pokemon Company officially revealed the two newest Paradox Pokemon coming to Scarlet and Violet as Walking Wake and Iron Leaves, paradox forms of two of Pokemon's legendary creatures. Walking Wake sees a unique take on the Johto legendary dog Suicune, transforming the creature into a lizard-like form and walking on two legs. Iron Leaves features a mechanical robotic variant of Virizion, one of Unova's Swords of Justice legendary Pokemon. Both Pokemon are set to debut in Tera Raids later today, February 27.

While both Paradox legendaries will debut in Tera Raids today, Pokemon fans will find the choice between the two dependent on which version of the game they are playing. Walking Wake is set to debut as a version exclusive to Pokemon Scarlet while players with Pokemon Violet will be able to pick up Iron Leaves in their own game. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have already featured several Paradox Pokemon as exclusives, making Pokemon like Great Tusk, Brute Bonnet, and Iron Treads specific to one version. Walking Wake will appear with the Water Tera Type while Iron Leaves will have the Psychic Tera Type.

Walking Wake and Iron Leaves were just a few of several announcements for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet during Monday's Pokemon Presents broadcast. Alongside the previously mentioned DLC announcement. Scarlet and Violet are planned to feature new compatibility with both Pokemon GO and Pokemon Home later this year. The Pokemon Company also finally shared more details about Pokemon Sleep, introducing it as a wellness-based app focused around health and tracking one's sleep. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet look to maintain their strong early momentum with new Paradox Pokemon and new DLC coming.
