The Pokemon Company recently released a special video called "1008 Encounters," which showed Pokemon across every generation, but keen-eyed fans have taken note of something special regarding Pokemon X and Y's representation in the video. The main purpose of this video is to celebrate crossing 1000 Pokemon as of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, and while some fans hoped for a DLC or new Pokemon tease/reveal, that didn't happen. Indeed, right now, there is a lot of speculation regarding Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC. It's all but officially confirmed, teased heavily by the game itself and various well-known leakers, but fans can expect more in the coming weeks and months. One of the most popular rumors is that Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will add a new area based on "Southern Kalos," the region of Pokemon X and Y. This newfound secret in the video doesn't necessarily confirm this, but it's also hard to imagine what the change does mean.RELATED: Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Change Ultra Beast ClassificationIn short, as noticed by well-known community members like PearlEnthusiast, the Pokemon X and Y theme for box mascots Xerneas and Yveltal was updated. The rest of the music is, more or less, the same. Fans can check it out for themselves below, with many no doubt taking this as potential evidence of DLC or something involving Pokemon X and Y, but PearlEnthusiast is quick to note that this is also likely just some form of celebratory change instead of a proper tease.

After all, Pokemon X and Y were released in October 2013, so they'll be turning ten years old this year. The Pokemon Company and Game Freak are likely to do something to celebrate, but that doesn't necessarily mean in-game content. It could, but fans shouldn't take this as any sort of confirmation. It is sure to stoke the flames of fans hoping for Kalos DLC, already.

No matter what, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC seems like a for-sure thing, and while Kalos may be a simple rumor at this time, one thing that is more or less confirmed is the introduction of Ultra Beasts. The games themselves tease as much, as once players complete the Pokedex, they unlock a Beast Ball. That's practically useless in a game without Ultra Beasts, meaning they are more of a matter of when, not if. Kalos, even with this updated Xerneas and Yveltal theme, remains more of an if than a when.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are available now, exclusively for Nintendo Switch.
