Two major glitches have been found in the latest expansion for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet that involves the Pokemon Inkay and TM 223 Metal Sound. The first bug can softlock players when they use a Rare Candy or Experience Candy on their Inkay. If the items are used on the creature before it turns level 30, there is a chance that button inputs will no longer register after the level up message.

The Indigo Disk DLC for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet appears to use real-life time zones for the new Terarium area and the Paldea region.

The second bug that has been found in the DLC for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet involves TM 223 Metal Sound's crafting materials. At the moment, one of the components used to make the item is available from Shieldon, which can only be encountered in Pokemon Violet. This means those who are playing Pokemon Scarlet will not be able to craft the TM and teach their pocket monsters the attack.

December saw the release of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's Indigo Disk DLC, which expanded the games' world. Many pocket monsters made their return to the series through the expansion, including the starters for every mainline game in the franchise. New creatures were introduced in The Indigo Disk, including the Paradox Forms of a few older Pokemon. The DLC also grants players the ability to capture a number of Legendary Pokemon from past games, with pocket monsters such as Groudon, Lugia, and Zekrom now being obtainable in the titles. Gamers will also be able to fully fly while riding Koraidon and Moraidon rather than gliding for a short time, letting them soar through the skies of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's three main areas as long as they want.
