A glitch in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet has been discovered which allows players to jump far beyond Paldea right into outer space. The glitch has been turned into something of a challenge on social media where many are trying to see how high they can jump, and what they can see from the depths of Paldean space.Generation 9 had a bit of a rocky start with the many glitches and bugs that could be found in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Social media was alive in the weeks after the games launched with posts about strange glitches involving Poke Balls clipping through the map or even save files being corrupted. Many of those bugs have thankfully been addressed by Game Freak in the months since, but this outer space glitch was a more recent discovery that's been giving players a lot of fun as opposed to the frustration of other bugs.RELATED: Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Player Glitches Into BuildingThe glitch is exploited through the sandwich-making feature in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. For anyone interested in replicating this glitch while it's still present in the game, a decent stock of chorizo is necessary, which can be found in any Deli Cioso location. In West Province (Area One) there are three windmills, and if players set up their picnic table just right then they can clip into one of those windmills. Once that's happened, it's just a matter of dropping the chorizo onto the windmill rather than onto the bread. When the chorizo is dropped onto the windmill the camera will pull up significantly, which is then chained by repeatedly dropping chorizo to get as high up above the game's overworld as possible before the sandwich is complete.

There are hundreds of videos across Twitter right now of different users replicating this glitch, with many different effects. Some are seeing how high they can go, some are observing the changing colors of the overworld of Paldea at different times of the day, and some are just going up there to see if the glitch really works. There's even some funny fan art already out there celebrating the silliness of stacking chorizo to reach the moon.

This glitch is a good display of how bugs in a game don't always necessarily have to be a negative thing, and oftentimes can even be a way for dedicated fans of a game to find new ways to enjoy it. In the Pokemon community there are multiple glitches that have created positive memories rather than negative experiences, like surfing on land in Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire, the ability to run anywhere on the map without restriction in Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, or even the ability to find Missingno and Mew all the way back in Pokemon Red and Blue. These are the glitches that fans enjoy finding, so hopefully, in the future, more can be found.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are out now for Nintendo Switch.
