Just in time for Christmas, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet revealed a new Mystery Gift item code giveaway, in which players who redeem a code will get a new cap to wear on their adventures. Despite the limited number of cosmetic options in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, the new cap will be available for several months, giving players plenty of time to grab it.

The Mystery Gift item code arrived just over a week after the release of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet version 3.0.0 and the Indigo Disk DLC. In the expansion, trainers travel to the Blueberry Academy to hone their Pokemon battling skills. After conquering the BB League, Pokemon trainers return to Paldea to further explore the mysterious Area Zero and uncover the origin of the Terastal phenomenon, which turns out to be the legendary Pokemon called Terapagos. With the power to temporarily change a Pokemon's type and enhance the power of certain moves, the Terastal phenomenon has provided a different way for Pokemon trainers to customize their teams. While the Terastal battle gimmick remains a divisive topic with Pokemon fans, supporters of it will have a new cosmetic item to show off on their characters.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Reveal New Paradox Tera Raids for Christmas

With days left until Christmas, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet reveal some new Tera Raid battles for trainers to challenge over the holiday season.

According to Serebii.net on social media, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players can enter the Mystery Gift item code "WEARTERASTALCAP" to claim a Sporty Terastal Cap for their wardrobe. Trainers can only access Mystery Gift by connecting their Switch to the Internet, selecting Mystery Gift from the Poke Portal menu, and choosing the code redemption option. Upon correctly entering the code, the gift will be directly sent to the player's clothing wardrobe. The black, baseball-style cap features the Terastal symbol on the front, with the logo colored light blue and white. This cap is one of seven Mystery Gift giveaways active in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet at the time of writing. The code for the Terastal Cap will be active until November 30, 2024.

This will give Pokemon trainers sufficient time to claim their Terastal Cap. In addition to the Terastal Cap, some issues of the Japanese manga magazine CoroCoro gave away item codes for version-exclusive Paradox Pokemon, such as Iron Thorns and Scream Tail. While there is no indication that similar Paradox Pokemon giveaways will be held outside Japan in the future, trainers will still be able to find and trade these powerful Pokemon on their own.

Between the Mystery Gift events and the upcoming epilogue for The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players have a variety of content to sink their time into over the coming weeks. It remains to be seen what future giveaways The Pokemon Company has planned in 2024.
