Pokemon Scarlet and Violet were first revealed with a trailer that mainly showcased returning Pokemon, with the new starters unveiled right at the end. The latest Pokemon Scarlet and Violet trailer reveals five more brand-new Pokemon that trainers will be able to add to their collections once the new games release later this year, including the two legendary Pokemon that will be featured on the box art.

The first new Pokemon spotted in the latest Pokemon Scarlet and Violet trailer is Pawmi, an Electric-type Pokemon. Ever since Pikachu, Pokemon games have often featured cute-looking rodent creatures each generation, and it seems as though Pawmi will fill that role in the new games. In the trailer, Pawmi is used by Nemona, who appears to be the rival character in the new games, though not much is known about her personality at the time of this writing.

The trailer then shows Pokemon trainers exploring Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's open world in a variety of environments. One Pokemon trainer is shown sneaking up on a new Grass/Normal-type Pokemon named Smoliv, who can be seen hanging out in a field. The trainer manages to successfully catch Smoliv in a Poke Ball, though no battle is shown.

The Pokemon Scarlet and Violet trailer ends with a look at the games' legendary Pokemon. As was previously hinted at by leakers, the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet box art legendaries are dragons of some description, with the Pokemon Scarlet legendary being a red dragon named Koraidon and the Pokemon Violet exclusive legendary being a futuristic dragon named Miraodon.
