According to a known Pokemon Scarlet and Violet insider, Terapagos, the mascot of The Indigo Disk DLC, may be stronger than Arceus. The insider posed the question on social media that pertained to the base stat total of Arceus and Terapagos, leading to Pokemon Scarlet and Violet fans speculating that the latter would be the stronger of the two in battle.

While Terapagos has not been released, Arceus has a lengthy reputation for being a god-like legendary Pokemon since its debut in Pokemon Diamond and Pearl. This is due to its stats and its ability to learn many moves. Arceus has a base stat total of 720, with each stat point distributed evenly at 120. This makes Arceus the strongest Pokemon by most measures, aside from special forms granted by battle gimmicks such as Mega Evolution and Tera forms. But, a new post from a reputable source gave Pokemon trainers something new to chew on.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Reveal Unexpected Seven-Star Raid

Following the previous Typhlosion raid battles, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet reveal a new seven-star Tera raid boss for trainers to challenge.

With nearly a month to go until The Indigo Disk's launch, known Pokemon insider Riddler Khu posted pictures of Arceus and Terapagos and asked which of the two legendary Pokemon would have the higher base stat total (BST). In response to Khu's latest question, some Pokemon fans wondered if this base stat total claim was for the base version of Terapagos, or if it would apply to Terapagos while it is in a new Tera form. With The Teal Mask's Ogerpon having a special form while Terastallized, it sounds logical that Terapagos would be capable of a similar if not greater feat in battle.

As one of the most reliable insiders for Pokemon news and information, Riddler Khu often lives up to their name and poses riddles to fans, with the answers often concerning which types of Pokemon will appear in future content. Between Walking Wake, Iron Leaves, and other Paradox Pokemon, Khu's riddles have revealed the existence of Pokemon that came to Pokemon Scarlet and Violet via updates. In the days leading up to its release, leaks about The Indigo Disk have increased, with Khu providing a majority of them.

Although Terapagos' stat total is unknown at the time of writing, the fact that Tera forms are a thing in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet certainly gives credence to the thought that Terapagos could give Arceus a run for its money. With The Indigo Disk launching on December 14, it remains to be seen what other leaks and riddles Khu will drop.
