Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have gotten a five-minute Japanese overview trailer, showing fans the new region, Pokemon, and stories they will find in the latest games. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will usher in the ninth generation in the iconic franchise, giving players access to a ton of interesting new features, including co-op gameplay and a vast open world. With all of the additional features coming to the latest mainline titles, alongside the usual new Pokemon in Scarlet and Violet, there is a lot of information to go through.

Luckily for fans who are looking to keep up with the scope of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, Nintendo has been releasing consistent trailers for the upcoming games, showing off different aspects of Paldea and the stories it contains. Recently, fans got a look at how legendaries will be used in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, as they saw how the powerful, lizard-like creatures Koraidon and Miraidon are able to help their trainer travel both on land and in the air.

The latest trailer for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet acts as a general overview for the games, beginning by showing the start of the player's journey at a school in the Paldea region. This is quite the different start from the usual Pokemon formula, but it doesn't mean the player will have to spend their time in a school simulator for long, as soon into the trailer fans are sent off on an extracurricular activity to find their own treasure.

As shown in the trailer, these treasures can be discovered by following the three paths of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's story. First, there's the Victory Road path, which acts as the more traditional Pokemon journey, where the player must become the champion by defeating gym leaders. Then, there's Starfall Street, which pits trainers up against Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's Team Star. Finally, there's the Path of Legends, which involves a hunt for unique Pokemon scattered throughout Paldea.

Following the showcase of the three paths, there is some more footage of the new Pokemon in Scarlet and Violet, but nothing new is revealed here. All of these Pokemon, such as Paldean Wooper and Wiglett, have been revealed in previous trailers. Still, the overview for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet gives fans a good look at everything they'll experience for themselves once the games are out. Already, some have had an early look at Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, and while there are some worries about performance on the Switch, things seem to be looking good in terms of Nintendo's ambition this time around.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet release on November 18, exclusively for Nintendo Switch.
