A new limited-time distribution event for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet has begun, awarding players with League Points. As the latest currency of the series, League Points can be used for several different purposes in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.Introduced in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, League Points can not only be used in the place of Pokedollars when purchasing items from vendors and other NPCs, but are required to craft TMs at Pokemon Centers. Players will know how to farm League Points efficiently by the end of their playthrough, being able to obtain large amounts of points by completing difficult Tera Raids and completing the Starfall Street storyline, but the latest Pokemon Scarlet and Violet distribution event is aimed at helping newer players by providing them with a respectable amount of League Points that will help them in the early stages of their journey.RELATED: Smogon Considering Banning Terastallization From Pokemon Scarlet and Violet CompetitiveThe latest distribution event will allow players to obtain a whopping 20,000 League Points by entering the code READY4RA1D into their Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Mystery Gift menu any time before 14:59 UTC on January 31, 2023. Players just setting off on their adventure should ensure they redeem their free points, which will enable them to craft TMs or purchase important items earlier on in their journey and save their Pokedollars for more important occasions. Veteran players may also appreciate the freebie, which should make for a nice addition to their sizable stash.

Players do not need a Nintendo Switch Online membership in order to claim Mystery Gifts, though they will need a stable internet connection. A special Pokemon Scarlet and Violet sandwich ingredient distribution event is also underway, awarding new players with vital ingredients that will help them understand the basics of sandwich-making and how it can help fill out the Pokedex and increase their chances of coming across Shiny Pokemon during their travels.

With the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Charizard Tera Raid Event having been aimed at veteran players who had completed the main game and were up to the challenge of the first ever seven-star raid boss, it is nice to see subsequent events be aimed at helping newer players who are just getting the hang of things. With several different Pokemon Scarlet and Violet distribution events active throughout the holiday period, there is no time like the present for players to begin their journey into the wonderful region of Paldea.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are available now for Nintendo Switch.
