The limited-time Charizard Tera Raid Battle for Pokemon ScarletandPokemon Violet is back again. Charizard is one of the Pokemon franchise's most popular characters, a powerful Flying/Fire Pokemon that looks like a dragon. Perhaps due to that, Charizard is often treated as something special for Pokemon players to acquire, available through events and special circumstances. Pokemon Scarlet andViolet are a great example of that, as Charizard is unavailable outside of this event. The first Charizard Tera Raid Battle was held between December 1 and December 4. It was treated as a special event, with Charizard powered up to an impressive level 100 and 7-star Raid Battle. The Charizard was also given a Tera Type, since that's the gimmick of Pokemon ScarletandViolet. Its abilities then included Dragon Pulse as a result of the Tera Type, combined with Fire Blast, Hurricane, and Focus Blast to make them a genuine threat.RELATED: Full Details for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Charizard Tera Raid Event RevealedAs was promised when the Unrivaled Charizard Tera Raid Battle was first announced, there will now be a second limited-time event allowing players to catch the dangerous Pokemon. The current Raid Battle will last from now through December 18, so Pokemon ScarletandViolet players will want to capitalize on this weekend's event before it's gone. Players just need to look in-game for the black crystals denoting the Charizard Tera Raid Battles, where they can start up the raid.

Those worried they won't have the time to catch Charizard this weekend shouldn't stress too much over it. Nintendo has confirmed in its announcement that Charizard might return in future events, or could be made available in different ways in the future. Given the popularity of Charizard, not to mention Charmander and Charmeleon, it would behoove Nintendo and Game Freak to continue finding ways to offer the Pokemon since it's so well-loved.

Not everyone will have the ability to join Pokemon ScarletandViolet's black crystal Tera Raid Battles, unfortunately. There are some lofty requirements, including completing the game, winning the post-game tournament, and winning several 5-star raids assigned by Professor Jacq. Luckily, there's a workaround. Joining another player's multiplayer group or joining the fight via link code will work for all players, regardless of whether they've completed Pokemon Scarlet or Violet yet.

The Unrivaled Charizard Tera Raid Battle is available now and will last through Sunday, December 18. As far as exclusive Pokemon go, this Charizard will be one of Pokemon ScarletandViolet's rarer ones. Players should endeavor to participate in the battle, if they have the time.
