A creative fan of the Pokemon franchise has just shared original concept art of what they think other regional forms of the Water/Psychic-type Slowpoke and its evolution line would look like. Even though Slowpoke already has a regional form from Pokemon's Galar Region, the fan base would likely be interested to see other versions of the Pokemon from different areas around the world.

There are only a limited number of regional Pokemon across the entire franchise and this seems to make them very interesting to the Pokemon community. Though they may have the same names as their original counterparts, regional Pokemon often have different element types and unique aesthetics that match their new elements. Over the years, artists who are also fans of the Pokemon franchise have been making original artwork that depict their visualizations of different regional creatures, and it seems another one has decided to feature Slowpoke this time around.

On Reddit, user hyahyahyahya shared their concept of another regional form for the Gen 1 Water/Psychic-type Slowpoke. In a series of posts on the online platform, the artist visualized the pocket creature as a Grass/Water-type instead, giving its whole color scheme a makeover. Instead of Slowpoke's well-known light pink color, they deviated and turned the Pokemon's body bluish-green. Though their version of Slowpoke still has its chunky body, the artist also added seaweed details on its head and tail, reflecting its new element and environment.

The artist went the extra mile and continued their regional Slowpoke evolution line, giving it different types as it evolved. Their seaweed-themed Slowpoke could evolve into a "Slowpie," an "open sea" Pokemon that is likely referencing the Scottish mythical water creature of legend, the Kelpie. Another evolution form would be the "Slowkelp," which is a "coastal" Pokemon that probably takes inspiration from the kelp found near beaches and shores. Many Pokemon fans were full of compliments for the artist's work, and some also appreciated them using the Kelpie as a reference for one of their art pieces.

This is not the first time that the artist has made fan art of alternative regional Pokemon forms, and this is likely not the last time the community will see their work posted online. Hopefully they continue to be inspired by the many pocket creatures from the Pokemon entire franchise. Given that there are over 1,000 across the whole Pokedex, they still have a lot of creatures to draw inspiration from.
