Pokemon's Misty traveled with Ash across three regions. Fans know her for her love of food and her passion for water Pokemon. During her time traveling with Ash, she strengthened her Pokemon, met new friends, and honed her craft as a water Pokemon Master. She's returned in later seasons, too, helping Ash and his companions in far-away regions long after she becomes a gym leader and splits off from the iconic trainer.

The tone intensifies when Ash finds out that Rudy is actually the next gym leader he'll have to face to continue on his journey.

Misty thinks about dating Rudy and living with him, but decides to stay loyal to Ash. She even helps him in his battle against Rudy, offering him advice from the sidelines. "Alola, Alola!" stands out because Misty and Brock's strong, memorable characters return to give old fans something to enjoy, even bringing back old jokes - but it's also clear that the characters have grown as people since their original appearances.
