Pokemon's Misty traveled with Ash across three regions. Fans know her for her love of food and her passion for water Pokemon. 6 Misty Meets Her Match

In "Misty Meets Her Match," Misty rescues a girl and her Pokemon from a whirlpool before meeting the girl's brother, Rudy. Rudy develops a crush on Misty, offering her flowers for saving his sister. Misty expresses some interest, and Ash finds himself somewhat jealous but tries not to show it. The tone intensifies when Ash finds out that Rudy is actually the next gym leader he'll have to face to continue on his journey.
Misty thinks about dating Rudy and living with him, but decides to stay loyal to Ash. She even helps him in his battle against Rudy, offering him advice from the sidelines. Rudy ends up giving up on Misty, suggesting that he thinks she's more interested in Ash and that they are meant to be together anyway. This episode offers a deeper look into Misty and Ash's relationship. Their dynamic sometimes changes throughout the series with some rocky moments, so it's great to see the strength of their bond.
5 For Crying Out Loud

"For Crying Out Loud" stands out as one of Misty's best episodes since it shows both her kind and more abrasive side while also offering her some character development. Misty meets a Marill, which she's excited to catch, but soon finds that the Pokemon won't stop crying and repeatedly yells at it to stop, causing it to flee. Misty grows increasingly frustrated with the Pokemon, until she's eventually forced to save the Marill.
At this moment of crisis, Misty and the Marill share a connection. She realizes that yelling at the Pokemon isn't the answer, and befriends it instead. She has to leave the Pokemon behind when she finds its real owner, however, leaving the episode to end on a bittersweet note.
4 Alola, Alola!
- Pokemon the Series: Sun and Moon, Episode 102
"Alola, Alola!" is a refreshing episode in Sun and Moon, bringing back both Brock and Misty to greet Ash and his new friends in Alola. Misty and Ash surf on Mantines before they have to fight Team Rocket, a callback to Ash and Misty's original time together in Kanto, where they sent Team Rocket blasting off countless times after foiling their plans.
"Alola, Alola!" stands out because Misty and Brock's strong, memorable characters return to give old fans something to enjoy, even bringing back old jokes - but it's also clear that the characters have grown as people since their original appearances.
3 The Princess and the Togepi
- Pokemon the Series: Ruby and Sapphire, Episode 44
"The Princess and the Togepi" is another Misty return episode. She meets May, who is excited to get to know her, and she reunites with her old friend Ash. Misty shows up to meet them in Hoenn with Togepi, who she plans on taking to the Togepi Festival in town. A man known as Colonel Hansen attempts to steal the Togepi, since he needs it to become king - but Misty gets it back after insisting that it's hers.
This episode shows Misty's dedication to her Pokemon through an interesting and unusual plotline, and also provides a fascinating and rare opportunity to see how May and Misty interact with each other.
2 Bye Bye Psyduck

One of Misty's most well-known Pokemon is her beloved Psyduck. In "Bye Bye Psyduck," as the title implies, Misty has to bid farewell to her Psyduck - but it's only temporary, and it's not in the way fans might be thinking. The Psyduck's tail began to glow, leading Misty to believe it was about to evolve; the Pokemon then went underwater and emerged as a Golduck.
Misty was ecstatic to see her Pokemon evolved, and even briefly used the Golduck in a fight against Team Rocket. The Golduck disappeared shortly thereafter, though, leaving Misty with her original Psyduck, and she realizes that her Pokemon never really evolved at all.
1 The Misty Mermaid

In "The Misty Mermaid," Misty meets up with her sisters, who convince her to participate in their underwater ballet. Misty gets the role of mermaid, making her sisters jealous. This episode marks a nice change from the usual Pokemon setting, with this episode and its battles largely taking place underwater.
"The Misty Mermaid" focuses on all of Misty's best personality traits, especially her passion for water Pokemon. Viewers also get to meet Misty's sisters, adding context to her character and how she grew up. Overall, "The Misty Mermaid" is the perfect mix of engaging battles, a fresh setting, and interesting perspectives on some of Pokemon's best characters.
