Given Pokemon's original intended audience and the fact that it's been around for decades now, many children have grown up with Pokemon in their lives. For some kids, this can start extremely early, with some dedicated parents creating Pokemon-themed nurseries or bedrooms for their children.

In this latest example, a Pokemon fan quilted a Pikachu blanket intended for a baby. While it's too small for an adult to use comfortably, it would likely provide a very comfy bit of cushioning and warmth for any young child.

Reddit user and Pokemon fan Weddingredditor shared their latest creation with multiple Nintendo and Pokemon-themed subreddits. The photos show the front and back of the Pikachu quilt, with the back being a plain black, but the front alternating between yellow, black, and Pikachu-decorated squares. The squares are laid out in a chessboard-like pattern, and the design makes it look like Pikachu is peeking in from just outside the frame in the squares it appears in. The design looks quite neat, with Weddingredditor stating that they got the Pikachu fabric off of eBay.

Fans in the comments are very impressed by the creation, with many expressing a wish to buy one for themselves. While the blanket isn't intended for grown-ups, there were several users wishing they had something similar. Pikachu remains one of the most recognizable and loved Pokemon of the series, so it's not a surprise that fans would be eager to get their hands on this tastefully designed homemade quilt.

Of course, there's no shortage of official Pokemon merchandise for adults and kids alike, but that doesn't stop Pokemon fans from making their own, either. Parents have created themed bedrooms for their children based off their favorite Pokemon, while others have gone so far as to build a Pokemon baby mobile to soothe a child in a crib. Whether a parent is swaddling a child in a Pokemon baby blanket or helping them to sleep with Pokemon lullabies, kids can start enjoying Pokemon long before they're old enough to appreciate the games or television show.

Pokemon has left an indelible mark on society at this point, and the youngest generations will likely continue to carry it into the future. With Pokemon Scarlet and Violet now just around the corner, more children will be meeting the Pokemon series for the first time and choosing new favorites for themselves. Pokemon is far from a short-lived fad, as some first expected when it hit the scene in the 1990s, and it's likely that kids will keep falling in love with Pokemon as the years roll by.
