The incredibly popular Pokemon franchise has continued to grow its roster of pocket monsters throughout its 26 years. The series began with 150 unique creatures, or 151 for those who count Mew, and has steadily grown with each new game release to ballooning over 900 monsters across a variety of games and platforms. In fact, with Pokemon Scarlet and Violet set for launch later this year, the number is set to climb again with recently revealed creatures like the pig Lechonk to the legendaries like Koraidon and Miraidon.

With so many Pokemon to pick from, every fan has their own favorites, though there have been more than a few which have seemingly risen to the top. The electric mouse Pikachu quickly became the face of the franchise, thanks in large part to its constant appearance in the TV anime as Ash Ketchum's partner. Even with a huge variety of Pokemon to pick from, The Pokemon Center online store has made most, if not all, plush versions of these creatures available and some reviews left by consumers will likely cause fans to do a double take.

Over on the Pokemon subReddit, a user named KangarooChief highlighted some reviews left on plushies based on some of the more obscure creatures within the series like Bonsly, Bronzong, Porygon, and Probopass. While all four seemingly have perfect 5-star reviews, many of the comments left are both hilarious and sometimes, bizarre. For example, one user noted that the Probopass plush has an impeccable mustache and while it's double weak to fighting, it has left the user double weak to its charm.

Bonsly, a rock-type baby Pokemon, has a review left by someone noting that it's a sad little baby that's going to cry and going to cause the reviewer to cry, something they seemingly love. Porygon is apparently a 20th century cuboid man who is an absolute delight, very respectful, and is named Michaelsoft Binbows. To round things out, Bronzong, a Pokemon that looks like a massive bell, is apparently "just a small man living in a lonely world" according to one reviewer.

Throughout all of the "He is my son" reviews, the Reddit community has embraced the weirdness and hilarity of these reviews. Considering the speed at which The Pokemon Center creates new plushies of Pokemon, it shouldn't take long for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet monsters to be added. While fans have gravitated towards some of the revealed creatures like Sprigatito and the previously mentioned Lechonk, it'll be interesting to see what sort of reviews are left behind for some of the underappreciated critters like Smoliv.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will release on November 18, 2022 for the Nintendo Switch.
