  • Pikachu is a popular subject for creative fan art, including a massive Rubik's Cube creation of the Electric-type Pokemon.

A creative Pokemon fan has recently devised an amazing piece of artwork in which Pikachu wears the clothes of all the villains’ teams featured in the franchise’s games. From the beloved Team Rocket to the recent Team Star, villain groups are one of the most important parts of Pokemon games, and Pikachu looks adorable when wearing their outfits.

Villain teams are a memorable part of the Pokemon universe. They have appeared in essentially all mainline Pokemon games and are often the primary antagonists of the TV series. In the case of the anime, specifically, Team Rocket’s Jessie and James are obvious highlights. Together with Meowth, the villains essentially keep losing to Ash Ketchum over and over, becoming some of the most beloved characters of the show.

A talented Pokemon fan swaps the type of the three Sinnoh starters, coming up with brand-new versions of Torterra, Infernape, and Empoleon.

Now, a Pokemon fan called MunchyKu decided to celebrate the long history of Pokemon villain teams by drawing Pikachu wearing all of their outfits. MunchyKu’s artwork depicts nine versions of the beloved Electric-type creature, each one styled as one of the evil teams. The collection begins with the famous Team Rocket, followed by Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire’s Teams Magma and Aqua. Then, it features Team Galactic, Team Plasma, Team Flare, Team Skull, Team Yell, and finally the more recent Team Star. All outfits look pretty cute on Pikachu and are very accurate representations of how these villains dress in the Pokemon games.

Pikachu Dressed as Game's Villains Fan Art

While Pokemon has an extensive gallery of villains, none of them are more iconic than Team Rocket’s Jessie and James, and another fan made a cute artwork featuring them a while ago. In this art piece, a fan reimagined Jessie and James as Pokemon Scarlet and Violet trainers. Instead of using their classic Team Rocket outfits, the duo appear using the same school uniform worn by the game’s protagonist in these games.

Just like the game’s villains, Pikachu is often depicted in fan art, and it’s not hard to find gamers who create awesome art pieces based on the iconic mouse-like Pokemon. For instance, a fan created a Pikachu using 2,400 Rubik’s Cubes last year. It was an impressive work in which this person was able to create a five-foot-tall Pikachu with a pixel art-like appearance using only a bunch of Rubik’s Cubes as materials. At the time, the artwork gathered much attention from fans, as the artist spent hours playing with the cubes to get the exact image of Pikachu for the piece.
