A Pokemon Scarlet and Violet player put their artistic ability to work by creating a Paradox form for Pikachu, the franchise's mascot and most-popular Pokemon. With the nine generations and over 1,000 Pokemon included in the roster, fans are always eager to show off their own Paradox Pokemon, drawing inspiration from the existing variations in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet while adding their own unique twist.

Pikachu is one of few Pokemon to be a staple in the franchise's run, being prominently featured in every generation, a trend that continued in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Introduced in the first generation, Pokemon Blue and Red, the electric mouse was adored by many for its charm and feisty attitude, characteristics that were further embellished in the Pokemon anime. Pikachu was the ace Pokemon of Ash Ketchum from Pallet Town and walked alongside his trainer through every step of the journey leading up to helping Ash become a Pokemon Champion.

Reddit user Macksi_ shared their creation in the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet subreddit, showcasing what a Pikachu from the past would look like if it made its way through the portal and into the current era. Dawning a set of horns on its head, a fluffier body, and sharper claws, the Pokemon known as "Storm Tyrant" is the perfect combination of cuteness and mischievous nature. One user made the astute observation that, like most Paradox Pokemon, Storm Tyrant has glowing yellow eyes, providing the Pokemon with strong attention to detail with the story's lore. Storm Tyrant also appears to have a wider end to its tail, while it is bearing a sharp set of fangs to complete a menacing presence.

Storm Tyrant also comes with its own backstory and original duo-typing. In Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, Paradox Pokemon have different types compared to their original counterpart, and this creation is no different. While Pikachu's Paradox form continues to hold its Electric type, Storm Tyrant adds the Dragon type to the mix, making it one of just five to share the same duo-type combination — Dracozolt, Mega Ampharos, and legendary Pokemon Zekrom and Miraidon. Listed as "The Crackling Pokemon," Storm Tyrant packs the Protosynthesis ability, which boosts the Pokemon's highest stat by 30% while Sun is activated or if the Booster Energy is attached.

Excluding the Koraidon and Miraidon Pokemon from the list of Paradox forms — both serve as the past and future forms of Cyclizar — Pokemon Scarlet and Violet contain a total of 14 Paradox Pokemon, seven for each version. This has perhaps left players underwhelmed by the lack of more forms, leading many to create Paradox Pokemon of their own. As potential future DLC patches are rumored to be in the works, it's a wonder if Game Freak has any plans to include more Paradox Pokemon in the mix.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are available on Nintendo Switch.
