An imaginative Pokemon fan shared their latest creation on social media, inventing a Paradox form for Celebi. This original concept offers a new view of Celebi, the Psychic/Grass pocket monster that first appeared in the second generation of Pokemon games.Pokemon Scarlet and Violet introduced Paradox creatures, new versions of popular pocket monsters. Paradox Pokemon are either an ancient or futuristic version of an existing creature, with different names, appearances, and abilities than their default counterparts. However, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet didn’t introduce a Paradox version for all Pokemon, only turning a few of them into new creatures for players to discover. Creative Pokemon fans imagined their own version of Paradox Pokemon for their favorite pocket monsters, sharing their creations on social media for the Pokemon community to discover them.RELATED: Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Leaker Hints at New Regional Variants in DLCAn artistic Pokemon fan known as Goldmills shared their original design of a Paradox version of Celebi. This Paradox creature, called Tangled Time, is a version of Celebi caught between the past and the future. The body of this pocket monster is half organic and half mechanical, highlighting the differences between the ancient and future versions of Celebi. The creator of this Paradox version of Celebi imagined a new signature move for the Pokemon changing its type from Psychic/Grass to Grass/Steel and adding new psychic abilities to control its enemies.

In the comments to the Twitter post introducing this new Paradox version of Celebi, Pokemon fans complimented the artist on their design. They asked various questions about the type of Pokemon this new version of Celebi could be, and which new ability they could bring to the battlefield. Eagle-eyed Pokemon enthusiasts noted some references to the beta design of Celebi, with similar head quills being present on Tangled Time. Some fans even suggested Game Freak began employing creative Pokemon lovers, as their designs are often more imaginative than those featured in the official Pokemon games.

Goldmills isn’t the first Pokemon fan to share their own version of Paradox creatures. Creative Pokemon players already invented Paradox forms for Ninetales, Tentacruel, Dewgong, Gengar, and Honedge, among others. While Game Freak hasn’t confirmed the return of Paradox Pokemon in future games yet, this doesn’t stop Pokemon fans from creating new versions of their favorite creatures. They may get even more material to create new forms of Pokemon with the release of The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet and the introduction of the rumored Tera Forms.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are available now for Nintendo Switch.
