Pokemon Mystery Dungeon DX is a dungeon-crawler set in the vast world of Pokemon. It completely breaks-free from the mainline Pokemon games and offers an entirely unique experience. Those who are tired of the regular Pokemon games can give this game a try to see how it feels to be a Pokemon instead of catching one.
The game still allows players to recruit other Pokemon, but that’s different from catching them. Most Pokemon choose whether they want to join a player’s rescue team or not, so it’s a bit of luck as well. However, the chances of recruiting Pokemon can be increased with items like the Friend Bow.
Luckily, recruiting Legendary Pokemon like Jirachi is easier than regular Pokemon. Recruiting Jirachi is not difficult at all, but it takes some time before players can actually recruit it for their rescue team. Similar to Deoxys, Jirachi is another powerful Psychic-type Pokemon, but it also has an added Steel-type advantage which makes it a sturdy powerhouse.
How to Recruit Jirachi
Before players can access Jirachi’s location in Mystery Dungeon DX, they have to beat the main story campaign. After finishing the story for the first time, players need to buy Mt. Moonview camp which is available for 7,000 CP from Wigglytuff. Players also need to visit the Solar Cave to befriend both Latios and Latias. Once that’s done, Whiscash and Medicham will be available by the pond, waiting for the players to talk to them. Talk to them every day until Ekans appears and announces that Medicham has gone missing.
Now, players need to accept Whiscash’s rescue request available on the Bulletin Board which will open up the Wish Cave. Rescuing Medicham from the 20th floor of the cave will grant players a Wish Stone, which will allow them to return to the Wish Cave again, but this time they must reach the 99th floor to find and battle Jirachi. Once defeated, Jirachi will automatically request to join the player’s rescue team. Jirachi will be available in the Mt. Moonview camp and will also give players different items depending on what they wished for.
