A talented Pokemon artist has created two impressive concepts showing the potential Mega Evolutions for the popular Dragon/Flying-type Dragonite. After 10 long years, Pokemon could introduce Mega Evolutions once again with the recently announced Pokemon Legends: Z-A. However, they will unfortunately have to wait at least eight or nine months, as Game Freak has confirmed the game is set to release in 2025. A Pokemon artist shares an impressive concept that shows an alternate Mega Evolution for the extremely popular Fire/Flying-type Pokemon Charizard.

A Pokemon fan who goes by the Reddit name Kampy5567 has shared two interesting concepts, revealing the potential Mega Evolution for the extremely popular Dragonite. The regular Dragonite is known for its orange skin, large wings, and overall friendly appearance. While the first concept seems quite close to the original design, it still has many notable differences, such as the significantly larger wingspan. The fan-made Mega Evolution concept for this Pokemon also has much larger antennae-like horns on its head and its belly seems much harder, giving an almost armor-like appearance to this Pokemon. The tail also seems to be slightly longer than the original, and it features a couple of orange beads.

The blue tips of the tail and legs provide a contrast to the rest of the body, echoing the color scheme found in Dragonite's earlier forms Dratini and Dragonair. While the first concept is much more reminiscent of Dragonite, a lot of fans seem to like the second concept more. It features shades of dark green and purple for the wings instead of the original orange color.

Overall, the second Dragonite art seems much more mysterious, setting it apart from the classic, friendly-looking dragon. The fan-made concept even has a new ability named Dragon's Pearl, which causes all Normal-type Pokemon moves to become Dragon-type. These attack types also receive a 30% power-up buff.

Kampy5567 also revealed that the art was commissioned by a popular Pokemon artist named Goldmills who is known for creating various similar concepts that almost always gather a lot of attention. The art got a lot of attention in the community as the post reached over 700 upvotes in just a couple of hours, with many fans claiming that this is one of the best Mega Evolution concepts they have seen so far.
