Despite being a series-wide crossover game, Pokemon Masters has yet to feature any characters or Pokémon from the most recent set of games, Pokemon Sword and Shield. But now, over a year since those two titles released for Nintendo Switch, its first Galar Sync Pair will be joining in only a few days.

Announced via Twitter with a short trailer, Gloria (Sword and Shield's playable female Trainer) will arrive in Pokemon Masters on November 29th. As for her partner Pokemon, it's surprisingly not one of the three starters, but Sword's Legendary Pokemon, Zacian, the sword-wielding dog.

Aside from very briefly showing off their gameplay, fans are also treated to hearing Gloria speak and, to those fans' delight, she has a British accent. Though some may be disappointed that she doesn't have the Scottish accent many fans associate with her thanks to memes and fan-comics, it at least avoids the problem some had with the Twilight Wings anime series. Despite being set in a region heavily inspired by the United Kingdom, none of the characters in that series had regional accents.

Fans can no doubt expect to see more characters from those games be gradually added to Pokemon Masters. No doubt the male Trainer, Victor, will arrive at some point and, since Gloria has Zacian, it's possible that his partner Pokemon will be the other Legendary, Zamazenta.

Other potential characters include rivals Hop, Marnie, and Bede, Gym Leaders like Milo and Ness, and, of course, the Champion himself Leon.

Pokemon Masters is available on Android and iOS devices.
