A Pokemon artist created an incredible 3D version of a Lugia card in Pokemon TCG. Besides being one of the first legendaries known to fans, Lugia is a character with a quite tragic backstory in Pokemon.

Lugia is the legendary bird of Generation 2 and the mascot of Pokemon Silver, with the similar appearance of a dragon, a plesiosaur, and a bird. In the anime, Lugia debuted in Pokemon the Movie 2000, the second movie in the franchise where Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres appear, the legendaries of which Lugia is the master. As with the other characters, Lugia has different card versions in Pokemon TGC, each with a distinct design. A talented Pokemon artist recently shared the result of their newest creation, which turned a regular Lugia card into a beautiful 3D version.

Belle Cards has posted on their TikTok profile a 3D Lugia card created from a regular Lugia card. This version is different from another Lugia 3D card in Pokemon TCG and gives an impressive look to the Lugia V card. Originally this card was part of the Silver Tempest expansion and had four versions with different artwork. The version used by Belle Cards is the Special Full Art, with artwork by Kawaguchi "kawayoo" Yoohei, an artist who has been providing art for Pokemon TCG since 2008. The 3D card created by Belle Cards is beautifully embossed, highlighting Lugia's imposing pose while retaining all original artwork, including the card's text.

The video released by Belle Cards on their Tiktok already has nearly 16,000 views, with 925 likes and 45 comments at the time of this writing. Although this is not one of the most expensive Lugia cards in Pokemon TCG, TikTok's followers still liked the idea. The artist works selling 3D cards of other characters on their Etsy profile, such as Gengar VMAX and Tyranitar V. Fans can also contact the artist via TikTok or Instagram to order specific 3D card art.

Lugia is one of the most iconic characters in the Pokemon world, and the card created by Belle Arts lives up to the legendary character's status. Although the character has appearances in different games of the franchise, interestingly Lugia would only appear in the Pokemon anime, as the plan was not to bring the character to the games. With its appearance in games and anime, Lugia has become a beloved Pokemon for many gamers. Many people also have the guardian of the sea as one of their favorite Pokemon.
