Ever since the original release of Pokemon Red and Blue, it's been a tradition for Pokemon games to have version-exclusive Pokemon. That tradition will continue with the upcoming Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu and Let's Go Eevee, which will have at least three exclusive Pokemon species each (not counting evolved forms).

In Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu, players will be able to catch Growlithe, Oddish, and Sandshrew, whereas Le's Go Eevee players will be able to catch Bellsprout, Meowth, and Vulpix. When taking evolved forms into account, this means that each version of Pokemon Let's Go will have seven exclusive Pokemon.

Of course, it's possible that there are even more exclusive Pokemon that have yet to be revealed. After all, Pokemon Red and Blue had six exclusive Pokemon species instead of three, and the Let's Go games are set in the same region. However, since the Let's Go games are basically remakes of Pokemon Yellow, it wouldn't be surprising if the games didn't have the same number of exclusive Pokemon as Red and Blue.

By having certain Pokemon exclusive to each game, the idea is that it will encourage players to trade with one another in order to fully complete their Pokedex. However, Pokemon Let's Go players will have another way to complete their Pokedex that won't necessarily require them to do any trading with other players.

Players will actually be able to transfer their Pokemon from Pokemon GO to Pokemon Let's Go, which should go a long way in helping them catch 'em all. Potentially, this could be a workaround that will allow players to catch every Pokemon without having to buy both versions of the game or find someone to trade with.

Pokemon GO connectivity is a requirement for anyone who hopes to fully complete their Pokedex in Pokemon Let's Go, anyway. In fact, a brand new Pokemon will be debuting in the franchise that can only be obtained through this connectivity, so anyone who hopes to get the most out of the Pokemon Let's Go games may want to consider returning to Pokemon GO while they wait for their release later this year.

Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu and Let's Go Eevee will launch on November 16, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
