With the entirety of Pokemon Legends Z-A confirmed to take place completely within the limits of Lumiose City, several prime and popular locations from the version of the city in Pokemon X and Y are certainly set to return. While the exact scope of this Legends game and the precise time period it takes place in is currently unknown, at least a few locations from the original Lumiose would work no matter the general setting.

Pokemon Legends Z-A Can Atone for Pokemon X and Y’s Greatest Sin

Pokemon Legends Z-A is in a prime position to fix two of the biggest issues with Gen 6 games, which combined make for X and Y's greatest sin.

It's safe to assume that Pokemon Centers or buildings that function similarly to the centers will return, clothing stores, as well as the professor's lab in some capacity. Beyond that, however, the various stores and optional locations found in Lumiose City that deserve to return are a little more up in the air. The five most useful locations in Lumiose City for players are clear.

5 Galette Stand

Easy Access To Curing Status

Pokemon XY Galette Stand

An easily overlooked and often ignored location in Lumiose City in Pokemon X and Y, the galette stand is surprisingly helpful for players who know how and when to look for it. Despite seeming like a pointless side store along North Boulevard, the galette stand offers a truly useful and valuable medicine item.

Much like the Castelia Cone, Big Malasada, and Old Gateau, the Lumiose Galette cures a Pokemon of any status affliction. Instead of needing a specific healing item, like an antidote or awakening, or hoping for a lum berry that also cures any status, the Galette is readily available at a cost. No matter the style of a Pokemon game, having access to such a useful healing item so early on is always appreciated.

4 Looker Bureau

A Grand Post-Game Mission

Pokemon XY Looker Bureau

A somewhat hidden feature in X and Y, the post-game Looker mission is a wonderful addition to the general theme and atmosphere of the Parisian Lumiose City. Offering a side quest to explore Lumiose City in detail and fight against gangs and a supervillain threat, the Looker Bureau's addition in Legends: Z-A could add a bit of the detective genre to the urbanization of this version of Lumiose City.

Why Pokemon Legends Z-A is Likely to Feature Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire Content

Pokemon X and Y are closely tied to Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, and there are various hints that Legends Z-A will feature both games' content.

Unlike other locations and buildings in the city, the Looker Bureau adds a few extra details and story to the region of Kalos instead of direct monetary or item gains, which given the story focus of Legends games, the return of the Bureau would be right in line.

3 Restaurants

A Place For Challenge And Money

Pokemon XY Restaurant

Since the beloved, simple money-farming Battle Chateau is unlikely to return in Pokemon Legends Z-A, as it's located outside of Camphrier Town and not within the walls of Lumiose City, the best option for easy money within the city could be in the form of restaurants. While not as simple as the Chateau, and without the powerful title to aim for as Grand Duke or Duchess, the difficulty and money output of the restaurants as they currently exist could be a great and engaging side challenge for players.

The restaurants offer a reward based on how well the trainer can complete a series of battles in a given format, with a perfect gauntlet rewarding players with the most amount of money and expensive items to sell. With how many, many players want a level of difficulty in Pokemon games, adding the restaurant challenges back and perhaps iterating on them could add a more accessible battle facility into the heart of Lumiose City, and one that actually pays.

2 Stone Emporium

Convenience For Evolution

As the store name suggests, the Stone Emporium on Vernal Avenue offers a small assortment of evolution stones, namely fire, water, and thunder stones, for players to buy at their leisure. More importantly, however, select mega stones can be bought as well, with a price point that drops based on how fashionable the player is. The current format that the Stone Emporium exists in leaves much to be desired, which makes it a perfect candidate to return in a new and improved form for Pokemon Legends Z-A.

Pokemon Legends: Arceus featured a variety of useful and fun mechanics that many fans would love to see return in Legends: Z-A.

The most obvious improvement for the Stone Emporium would easily be the inclusion of all evolution stones, ranging from the elusive dusk and dawn stones to the valuable shiny stones. With iconic Kalos Pokemon like Aegislash and Florges requiring stones to evolve, having full access to them would be greatly appreciated. Beyond that, having a slowly expanding inventory of mega stones, since mega evolution is returning, could be a way to obtain unlocked mega stones depending on the story of Legends: Z-A.

1 Poke Ball Boutique

A Perfect Collection Of Poke Balls

Pokemon XY Poke Ball Emporium

Easily one of the best stores in Pokemon X and Y's Lumiose City, the Poke Ball Boutique, shockingly, sells a wide array of Poke Balls. Selling all the specialty, regularly available Poke Balls in one location, the Boutique could certainly be a huge help when catching any of the Pokemon found throughout Pokemon Legends Z-A's Lumiose.

At the time of X and Y's release, the Poke Ball Boutique sold Poke Balls along the lines of Quick Balls, Premier Balls, and Net Balls all in one store, as opposed to the usual format of being spread across numerous Pokemon Centers or Marts in the region. While it does not sell the standard Poke Ball or its improved options, or newer Poke Balls like Beast Balls or even the Johto Apricorn Balls, the potential for those to be added to the Boutique's inventory is certainly there. Given the immensely positive feedback on the Poke Ball Lotto in the Indigo Disk, the demand is certainly there.
