Pokemon Legends: Arceus launched for the Switch late in January as a great way for Pokemon fans to begin the new year. With plenty of content to explore, many gamers have ended up with a 20-60 hour playthrough with Pokemon Legends, depending on how much of the side content at their disposal they explore. With this in mind, many players have been exploring the world of Hisui at their own pace.

Once fans get to the fifth region of Hisui, the Alabaster Islands, players may run into a familiar creature known as Blissey. Blissey is most famously known for working the Pokemon Centers alongside Nurse Joy after its introduction in Generation 4, and the Pokemon still has its place in Pokemon Legends: Arceus even long before Pokemon Centers and the Nurse Joy family came to be.

Blissey is a fairly rare creature to encounter in the Alabaster Icelands, and for Twitter user @mana_chan__, the appearance of one ended up working out in her favor. The Pokemon fan shared a video showcasing that when an Ambipom attacked her in the middle of the blizzard, Blissey reacted by running to get between the two, with the Happiness Pokemon consistently staying by the trainer's side, and even attempting to scare the big monkey monster away.

The video quickly went viral as many fans were touched by Blissey's gesture, praising the detail that comes straight out of several of the creature's Pokedex entries. Some fans have gone on to say that behaviors like this were the detail that they have been wanting to see in Pokemon games for a very long time. In other posts to Twitter mana_chan__ has shared, she's announced she's caught the Blissey for being "too nice" and has since nicknamed it "Bella."

Other fans in the comments have answered with their own Blissey stories, adding that this instance is more than just a cute coincidence, and it's actually something Game Freak programmed to happen. While many comments are more sweet stories of Blisseys coming to check up on hurt trainers, one fan has hilariously mentioned that a Blissey has turned around and attacked them after making sure they were safe from other Pokemon in a rather ironic twist.

Compared to how many of the franchise's other titles are based on random encounters, it's rather nice to see Pokemon react naturally in the wild based on their lore instead of the basic introduction. These behaviors from the creatures bring them to life and enrich the experience for many players. If more Pokemon games follow what Legends: Arceus has started with, many more stories of people bonding with the creatures similar to mana_chan__ will be sure to follow in future titles.
