Once Pokemon Legends: Arceus players start the story Mission 5 titled "A Request from Mai," they will be sent to the Obsidian Fieldlands to meet Mai, the leader of the Diamond Clan. As soon as players walk into the area from the campsite, they will spot an NPC that has a Request for players. A man named Morel wants everyone to know about the crafting recipe he invented for a Mushroom Cake, but he needs players to bring him a Springy Mushroom first. Here's how players can find the Springy Mushroom fast to complete Request 6, Mushroom Cake Marketing, in Pokemon Legends: Arceus.
Players might assume that the best way to search for the Springy Mushroom is to go out into the wild, but that's not the case for this Request. Springy Mushrooms can actually be found out in the wild and as a reward for completing a different Request, but there's a way to get one fast and easy.
Where to Find Springy Mushrooms in Pokemon Legends: Arceus
As soon as players accept the request, they should turn around and head back to Jubilife Village. Players can return to town by speaking to Laventon by the camp and then selecting "Return to the village." Otherwise, players can just run on the path towards town and then choose to head back.
When players get back to Jubilife Village from the Front Gate, they should continue to walk straight down Floaro Main Street, past headquarters. To the right of Beni's Wallflower restaurant is the Craftworks shop, where players can purchase materials and recipes for crafting. Speak to the shop owner, Anvin, and then select "crafting materials" to see the current selection of items on sale.
The Springy Mushroom should be in the Craftworks shop for 200 Pokedollars each. For the Request to be completed, players only need to buy one mushroom and then take it back to Morel near the Fieldlands Camp. As a reward for completing the Request, Morel will give players five balls of Cake-Lure Base and the recipe for Mushroom Cake.
What Are Mushroom Cakes
Mushroom Cakes can be crafted with one Springy Mushroom and one Cake-Lure Base. Once crafted, players can toss them at Pokemon out in the wild to distract them. This item is effective against more monstrous Pokemon and Dragon-type Pokemon. Players should experiment and use it to get the upper hand on unsuspecting Pokemon.
