As gamers continue to explore the world of Hisui in Pokemon Legends: Arceus, some are getting nostalgic for the old days, and it's not just because of the setting. One Pokemon Legends: Arceus player has decided to reenact a classic move by Snorlax from the original Pokemon Red and Blue.

In the original Pokemon games, Pokemon Red and Blue, and even in its sequels, Pokemon Gold and Silver, Snorlax was a one-of-a-kind Pokemon that players could interact with on the overworld. Snorlax was an obstacle that had to be overcome for players to progress further into the games, and it was blocking key roads that led to other areas. Players had to play the Poke Flute to wake up the sleeping Snorlax in order to get it to move. Players could defeat it or run away, but catching it is probably the best decision given Snorlax's rarity in those games.

Snorlax isn't quite as rare in Pokemon Legends: Arceus, but one player found that they could replicate the classic Snorlax blocking act from the original games. One of the bridges in the Obsidian Fieldlands is blocked at the start of the game by a Galaxy Team Security Corps member that steps aside once players reach First Rank as a Survey Corps member. Reddit user tyACNH decided to replace that Security Corps member with a sleeping Snorlax, just like how Snorlax blocked the bridge from Lavender Town to Fuchsia City in the original Pokemon Red and Blue.

Some players in the comments mentioned how ironic the title, "Just like old times," was in regard to the act. Since Pokemon Legends: Arceus takes place in the distant past, some players said that, technically, this is the first time Snorlax is blocking a bridge. A few others also made reference to the Celestica Flute that players are given in Pokemon Legends: Arceus, saying that they can use it to wake up the sleeping Snorlax in case they need to pass the bridge again.

Since players can let their Pokemon out of their Poke Balls to interact with either themselves or with the other Pokemon in the party, some players have made interesting discoveries in Pokemon Legends: Arceus. It's part of growing fans' demands to make Pokemon feel more real and to have a closer connection to their virtual pocket monsters.

Pokemon Legends: Arceus is still under a month old, and players are still learning more about how its world works. As Pokemon Legends: Arceus continues to be enjoyed by millions of gamers, the world of Pokemon continues to expand.

Pokemon Legends: Arceus is available now exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
