Pokemon Legends: Arceus has been out for a few weeks now and many fans have been playing it. While there are people that have been catching a lot of Pokemon, there is one Pokemon Legends: Arceus player that was disappointed that they were unable to catch a shiny Drifblim and decided to make an animation about it.

After Reddit user u/Kattling found a shiny Drifblim and didn't catch it, they decided that they would make an animation to express their disappointment. Many other fans have watched it and have been able to relate to it, knowing how it feels to find a shiny Pokemon in Pokemon Legends: Arceus only for it to disappear after escaping the Poke Ball they tried to catch it in.

Before the animation began, u/Kattling showed a clip, giving context on how they found the shiny Drifblim, tried to catch it, and lost what could have been a great Pokemon to add to their party. The animation itself showed Drifblim turning around after escaping from the Poke Ball and looking at the player. Despite the player crying and asking the Pokemon to not leave them, the shiny Drifblim responded that it has to go but it would also always love the player. As they almost held hands, the shiny Drifblim faded away, leaving the player to continue their journey.

Many other fans have seen the animation. While a lot of them enjoyed it, thinking that u/Kattling's artwork was beautiful and understanding the pain of letting a shiny Pokemon get away, others commented on how players should always save their progress before interacting with a shiny Pokemon. By saving the game, players can always get as many chances as they need in order to catch a Pokemon, even if they fail the first time.

It is no wonder that this animation has gained the attention it deserves. It told a sad story in a humorous way, giving fans entertainment from the game in a way that they could not get by simply playing it themselves. Clearly, players would like to see more Pokemon Legends: Arceus animations like this as people share their experiences with the game.

This also serves as a good reminder for those that may forget to constantly save their games. Players will not always know what they'll encounter in Pokemon Legends: Arceus and should be prepared in case things don't work out for them the first time around.

Pokemon Legends: Arceus is out now on the Nintendo Switch.
