Photos can be taken just about anywhere in Pokemon Legends: Arceus, but for those that want a traditional studio, they can find what they're looking for in Jubilife Village. At the start, the functions of the photography studio will be very limited, with minimal background and lens options to choose from. However, the more the player character helps the Galaxy Team, the more chances they'll get to improve Jubilife Village - including the studio.

Request 44 is part of a series of sidequests in Pokemon Legends: Arceus. As such, they're not required to complete, but they will be if players are going for 100% completion. Fortunately, they're not too challenging so long as players know what Pokemon to catch.

Starting Request 44

pokemon legends arceus duskull location

There are two prerequisites to unlocking Request 44:

  1. The Cobalt Coastlands need to be unlocked (Mission 10: The Lordless Island).
  2. Request 25: The Pokemon in the Woodland Photo needs to be completed.

Before departing to the Cobalt Coastlands, see if there's a Request Icon at the studio. Speak to Dagero, and he'll show a picture of a shipwreck with a peculiar Pokemon in the upper right of the photo. For those that may not know, the Pokemon this time around is Duskull, a Ghost-type Pokemon. If players have already explored the Cobalt Coastlands, then they should know exactly where this location is.

Where to Find Duskull in Pokemon Legends: Arceus

Specifically, the photo was taken at Deadwood Haunt, and if players go to this exact location during the day, they'll notice there's not a single Ghost-type Pokemon in sight.

Rest until night at the Coastlands Camp to spawn some Ghost-type Pokemon. Players may find a Dusclops or Dusknoir when looking for Duskull, the former of which they'll need for Mission 10. For now, look for Duskull and catch it.

As an aggressive Pokemon, Duskull will immediately go on the offense, so bring Mud Balls or Spoiled Apricorns to stun it before tossing a Great Ball. In the case players wish to battle Duskull, try not to use Ghost or Dark-type moves when fighting it.

The goal is to catch it, not knock it out. If there's a Pokemon with moves that inflict status ailments (ex: Stun Spore), use that to make catching it easier.

For those that are doing Request 44 much later in Legends: Arceus, Duskull can be found near the Avalanche Slopes in Alabaster Icelands around level 52. Like the Duskull in Cobalt Coastlands, Alabaster Iceland Duskulls will only spawn at night.

Once Duskull is in the Pastures (or the Party), return to Dagero and show him the Duskull. He'll then allow players to select more features from the studio as a reward, such as new screens and lenses.

Pokemon Legends: Arceus is available on Nintendo Switch.
