Players would be wise to complete requests in Pokemon Legends: Arceus. Not only will they give rewards, but they may require players to catch an uncommon Pokemon. While the Pokedex entries do not need completing, catching and meeting every last Pokemon in the Hisui region is necessary to complete all of the main Story Missions.

After making some progress in Pokemon Legends: Arceus' story, more requests will be open to the player. This includes Request 37: The Fragrance of Nostalgic Herbs. The Pokemon that needs to be caught is the Grass-type Pokemon, Tangela. It may not be all that rare nor is it a Legendary, but it's still needed for the Pokedex, so players may as well get a reward out of it.

Unlocking and Completing Request 37

To unlock Request 37, players must have done the following:

  1. Calmed the Noble Klevavor of the Obsidian Fieldlands.
  2. Received the Ride Ursaluna from Calaba in the Crimson Mirelands.

Once these steps have been completed, players should return to the Galaxy Hall and take the stairs to the bottom floor. There should be a villager (Risa) with the request icon over her head. If players speak to her, and she'll mention a peculiar Pokemon covered in vines. Familiar fans of the Pokemon series will know that she's referring to a Tangela, so the next step is finding one. Fortunately, Tangela can be caught as early as Crimson Mirelands, but if players want to wait, Tangela can also be caught in the Cobalt Coastlands.

Despite Tangela's habitat being listed as Gapejow Bog in Crimson Mirelands, players can also find a Tangela at the location indicated in the image above. In fact, this area will have two Tangela. The quickest way to reach them is by heading northwest of Bogbound Camp. This means crossing through or along the Scarlet Bog, which is home to numerous Poison-type Pokemon.

The Tangela in the Cobalt Coastlands roams around the Crossing Slope, which is between Ginkgo Landingand Aipom Hill. They'll be walking in the grassy area as opposed to on the sand, so it won't be hard to find them. If players look a bit further beyond the Tangela, they have a chance of finding an Eevee too.

Tangela is neither an aggressive nor timid Pokemon. However, it will bounce away a few feet if players stand next to it for too long. It's easy to get a backstrike catch by circling around them. For those who want to catch Tangela the old-fashioned way, it might be easier to catch if it's afflicted with a status ailment such as paralysis. Unlike some Pokemon, Tangela will spawn in any weather regardless of the time of day.

Once Tangela's been caught, players can return to Risa at the Galaxy Hall. Upon showing her Tangela to complete the request, players will receive five Smoke Bombs and two Exp. Candy S.
