Request 26 in Pokemon Legends: Arceus is unique in that it unlocks a mini-game. For this request to become available, the player will need to have spoken to Arezu outside Galaxy Team Headquarters in part of the mission called "Arezu's Predicament." Once that is done, the "Aim for the Big Leagues!" request should be available.

The request is picked up by an NPC named Taggart. He will be standing by the bridge that is across from the Galaxy Team Headquarters. Once he is spoken to, the player will need to head over to the Practice Field that sits outside the southern area of Jubilife Village, not far from the pier where the Pokemon Legends: Arceus' story first started.

How The Mini-Game Works

Drifloon balloons.

To complete Taggart's request, the player must score 10,000 points or more in one minute. To collect points, the player must throw Pokeballs at the Drifloon balloons. There is a bit of strategy involved to get the most points.

  • Firstly, the player should always try to get the yellow Drifloons, and they reward more points than the regular balloons.
  • Additionally, bonus points are rewarded if more than one balloon is hit with one Pokeball. This means the player should also aim for balloons that are close to each other.
  • Not only does hitting multiple balloons in a line get bonus points, but it also awards a time extension.
  • As for the Pokeballs used, they will not be from the player inventory. They will be given by Taggart, so there is no need to worry about the number of Pokeballs thrown. So Pokeballs do not run out.
  • Also, balloons will keep appearing so balloons to throw balls at will never run out. Also, keep in mind that Pokeballs are always thrown in an arc, not a straight line. As long as the distance and arc of the throws are factored in, getting 10,000 points is not a difficult challenge.
  • The purple Drifloon are 100 points and the yellow ones are 200 points.

The Reward

Protagonist and Taggart.

Once 10,000 points are made in the min-game, the player will receive 15 Great Balls and a Nugget. While this completes the request, the rewards do not have to end there. Taggart will remain at the Practice Field and the mini-game will always be available to replay.

If replayed, the player can achieve higher scores and more rewards. Depending on the score, players can get Great Balls, Sticky Globs, Wing Balls, Stardust, Nuggets, and Ultra Balls.
