Right from the beginning, the first set of Requests in Pokemon Legends: Arceus are simple and take little to no time to complete. However, Adorable Starly (Request 2) takes a little more effort, as it requires players to complete the Pokedex entry for Starly, one of the first Pokemon that players encounter early on in the game. To start this Request, talk to Marli in Jubilife Village. She is located between the General Store and the Hairdresser.
Adorable Starly Request
The objective of this request is to raise the Research Level for Starly to 10 in the Pokedex. This can be accomplished by completing Research Tasks that are listed on Starly's page. One important thing that players should keep in mind is that they do not need to complete every single Research Task listed on the page in order to get to Research Level 10.
Starly Location
Starly can be found around Aspiration Hill in the Obsidian Fieldlands. Starly has a tendency to run away if they spot you, so players should make sure to crouch and approach carefully to help prevent this.
Starly's Pokedex Entry
An efficient way for players to get this request done quickly is to catch multiple Starly without being spotted. The reason for this is that it allows players to double-dip and get credit for simply catching Starlys at the same time. A good way to catch a Pokemon without getting spotted is to crouch in tall grass and throw a Poke Ball at it. If Pokemon Legends: Arceus players should happen to be spotted by a Starly, defeating them in battle is also a viable option, as there is a Research Task for that.
Whatever way players decide to proceed with this objective, they will then need to report the completion of Research Tasks to Laventon at the Base Camp in order to raise their Research Level for Starly.
Once players reach Level 10, the next step is to return to Marli and show her your Pokedex entry for Starly. This unlocks the second step of the Request, where players need to catch a Starly and bring it to Marli. By this point, players are likely to already have several Starly that they caught as part of one of the Research Tasks.
Request 2 Reward
Simply select one of them to show to Marli, and a brief cutscene will play. Don't worry about losing Starly, as Marli just wants to see a Starly but not actually have one of her own. To demonstrate her appreciation, Marli gives players 10 Poke Balls as a reward for completing this request.
