Pokemon Legends: Arceus trainers are tasked with catching multiple specimens of most Pokemon to complete their Pokedex entries, and there are many creatures to find in the game's main areas. A pesky one to catch is Abra, but Pokemon Legends: Arceus players can follow this quick guide to learn how to do just that.

How to Catch Abra

The main reason why Abra can be quite difficult to get in Pokemon Legends: Arceus is that it usually spawns alone, and it is also quick to use Teleport when it spots players from a distance. Sometimes, an alerted Abra will teleport in the general vicinity of where it was previously, but other times it will just disappear.

Ideally, players will want to try and stay hidden in tall grass or behind cover, such as trees or rocks, and sneak up on the Abra slowly. Using berries or other sorts of food helps to distract the Pokemon, and throwing a Poke Ball at Abra from behind will increase the chance of success. Still, Abras that break free from the Poke Ball will quickly attempt to use Teleport and get away.

Using Spoiled Apricorns can also help if players can manage to quickly aim at Abra and throw their items, as the Pokemon usually tend to Teleport to other nearby locations every few seconds, even if they don't spot players. Spoiled Apricorns can stun them briefly, making it easier to reposition behind them and throw a Poke Ball.

Where to Find Abra

There are a few locations where Abra spawns in Pokemon Legends: Arceus, but the most consistent one - and also the earliest - is Windswept Run in the Obsidian Fieldlands, which is not far from the Heights Camp. Players who have not unlocked the Heights Camp yet can cross the bridge in Aspiration Hill, and head to the right side of the cliffs where Deertrack Path begins. After a bit of running along the beach, players will get to Windswept Run and find an Abra or two hanging further down the coast.

There are other locations where Abra can be found, such as Sandgem Flats in the Obsidian Fieldlands, and Lake Acuity in the Alabaster Icelands. Sandgem Flats feature high-level Pokemon, and so does Lake Acuity in the Alabaster Icelands, meaning that the best place to get Abra remains Windswept Run.
