Poison-type Pokemon may not be as popular as their Fire and Water-type counterparts, but they can still be incredibly useful in certain situations. This is once again the case in Pokemon Legends: Arceus, where a powerful Poison-type can make completing the Hisui Pokedex considerably easier than it might otherwise be.
Those looking for the best Poison-types in Pokemon Legends: Arceus will need to look pretty hard though, as many of them are hidden away in hard-to-reach places and late-game areas. It's definitely worth the effort though, as these noxious nuisances can make for an excellent addition to just about any team.
5 Roserade

Roserade's physical stats may be a little disappointing, but its Special Attack and Special Defense stats are both pretty impressive. The Grass / Poison-type is also relatively fast and has access to powerful attacks like Petal Dance and Venoshock. Given that it's also one of the best Grass-types in Pokemon Legends: Arceus, Roserade is a solid pick for those looking to maximize their type coverage and is at its best with a Mild nature.
How to Get Roserade in Pokemon Legends: Arceus
Players can catch themselves an Alpha Roserade in the Cloudpool Ridge area of the Crimson Mirelands. Alternatively, they can find its unevolved forms Budew and Roselia in the Fabled Spring area of the Coronet Highlands or in the Golden Lowlands and Gapejaw Bog areas of the Crimson Mirelands. Budew evolves into Roselia with high friendship during the daytime and Roselia evolves into Roserade when exposed to a Shiny Stone. Players can exchange these rare evolution stones for Merit Points in Jubilife Village, find them on the ground in space-time distortions, or dig them up using Ursaluna.

Being a Dark / Normal-type, Drapion only has one weakness (Ground-type attacks), despite boasting resistances to multiple types and complete immunity to all Psychic-type attacks. It's also a fairly fast Pokemon and has decent physical Attack and Defense stats to boot. This all combines for a surprisingly sturdy Pokemon that's capable of slowly chipping away at the opposition's HP. Players should try to find one with an Impish nature, which increases its Defence stat at the expense of a little Special Attack.
How to Get Drapion in Pokemon Legends: Arceus
Players can find an Alpha Drapion in the Ginkgo Landing area of the Cobalt Coastlands. They can also find its unevolved form Skorupi there, as well as in the Castaway Shore area of the same region. Skorupi evolves into Drapion at Level 40.

Despite being the face of Ghost-type Pokemon to many fans, Gengar is actually a Ghost / Poison-type Pokemon. Granted, this combination can be fairly situational, but, in the right setting, it really can be deadly. Gengar's 130 Special Attack and 110 Speed stats allow it to run rings around the opposition, hitting both hard and fast with moves like Shadow Ball and Venoshock. Gengar is best with a Mild nature, which sacrifices a little Defense in exchange for a boost to the Pokemon's Special Attack stat.

Gengar sometimes shows up in space-time distortions in the Obsidian Fieldlands area. Alternatively, players will be able to find its unevolved forms Gastly and Haunter in numerous locations throughout the Crimson Mirelands, Coronet Highlands, and Alabaster Icelands regions, though only during the night. Gastly evolves into Haunter at Level 25 and Haunter evolves into Gengar when exposed to a Linking Cord. Players can get their hands on this rare evolution item at the Merit Point exchange counter in Jubilife Village or by completing Request #64 (Getting to Know Ghosts). Haunter will also evolve into Gengar when traded between two players.

Sneasler is a Poison / Fighting-type Pokemon and one of several new evolutions introduced in Pokemon Legends: Arceus. It boasts a devastating Attack stat and immense speed, allowing it to tear through enemies with attacks like Poison Jab and Close Combat. It's for this reason that it's also one of the best Fighting-types in Pokemon Legends: Arceus, despite its crippling weakness to Psychic-type attacks. Sneasler is best with an Adamant nature.
How to Get Sneasler in Pokemon Legends: Arceus
The only way to get Sneasler is to evolve Hisuian Sneasel by using a Razor Claw on it during daytime hours. Players can trade a Razor Claw for 1,400 Merit Points at the item exchange counter in Jubilife Village or dig one up using Ursaluna. They can find Hisuian Sneasel in the Celestica Trail and Primeval Grotto areas of the Coronet Highlands as well as in the Avalugg's Legacy and Glacier Terrace areas of the Alabaster Icelands.

The Zubat evolutionary line is traditionally seen as more of a curse than a blessing, but, due to cuts in the Hisui Pokedex, the final stage evolution Crobat surprisingly finds itself at the very top of the Poison-type pile. The Poison / Flying-type Pokemon has a plethora of useful resistances and immunities and is also one of the fastest Poison-types in the entire game. Its attacking stats may not be all that great, but it's sturdy enough to survive all but the hardest of hits and has access to restorative moves like Leech Life and Rest if needed (the latter of which is far more effective in Pokemon Legends: Arceus than in previous games thanks to the switch from the traditional Sleep mechanic to Drowsy). Players should try to find a Crobat with a Jolly nature, which increases its Speed stat at the expense of its Special Attack.
How to Get Crobat in Pokemon Legends: Arceus
Players can catch an Alpha Crobat in the Wayward Cave area of the Coronet Highlands, though it will only appear during nighttime hours. Alternatively, they can find its unevolved forms Zubat and Golbat in numerous locations throughout the Obsidian Fieldlands, Crimson Mirelands, and Coronet Highlands regions, though, again, only at night. Zubat evolves into Golbat at Level 22 and Golbat evolves into Crobat with high Friendship. Players can increase the Pokemon's Friendship stat by using it in battle, feeding it EXP candies, or having it harvest ores and berries.
