The Pokemon Spiritomb was introduced back in Pokemon Diamond/Pearl. Like Sableye, it had no moves that were super effective against it until the creation of the Fairy-type Pokemon in Generation 6. Catching Spiritomb in mainline Pokemon games was never easy, but the methods have become less trying over the years. Players won't need to speak to 30 different NPCs in Pokemon Legends: Arceus. However, getting Spiritomb will require some work.

As players make their way through Pokemon Legends: Arceus, they'll eventually start Request #22: Eerie Apparitions in the Night. Trainers will receive the Odd Keystone from Vessa in Request #22, and they'll start seeing "glowing, purple flames" in the late evening or at night. There are a total of 107 wisps around Hisui. Once all 107 are collected, players will be able to catch Spiritomb.

Preparations for Wisp-Gathering in Cobalt Coastlands

pokemon legends arceus cobalt coastlands wisps

The Cobalt Coastlands is the third area that players will unlock in Pokemon Legends: Arceus. There are 20 wisps in the Cobalt Coastlands, and players will need Basculegion and Sneasler to get them all. At this point in the game, players should have already calmed the Noble Kleavor and the Noble Liligant of the Obsidian Fieldlands and Crimson Mirelands respectively.

To get the Ride Basculegion and Sneasler, players will need to help Palina and Iscan of Cobalt Coastlands. Then, after defeating the Noble Arcanine, they'll need to go to Coronet Highlands and follow after Melli with Ingo. Eventually, Ingo will teach players how to summon Sneasler with the Celestica Flute. With both Basculegion and Sneasler, it's time to get all the wisps in Cobalt Coastlands.

Wisps can be collected at any point of the day, but they're easier to see at night. Ghost-type Pokemon, who only come out at night, are known to be aggressive, so be careful when searching for wisps.

Cobalt Coastland's Wisps

Some wisps can be collected upon the first visit to the Cobalt Coastlands. The fastest way to collect all the wisps in one go is by getting Braviary for the Celestica Flute in Alabaster Icelands. However, it's completely possible to get the wisps with just Sneasler and Basculegion.

Wisps #1-4

  1. Wisp #1 is to the right of the Cobalt Coastland's first camp. Players can get to it by using Wyrdeer.
  2. On the map, Wisp #2 is right near the "S" of the "Crossing Slope" text. Look to the south of Ginkgo Landing.
  3. Wisp #3 is on a tall hill next to Windbreak Stand. There should be Skorupi and Drapion around this hill. Players will need Sneasler or Braviary to get Wisp #3.
  4. Wisp #4 requires Basculegion and it is on a small island north of Tranquility Cove.

Wisps #5-9

  1. Wisp #5 is on the side of the mountains of Veilstone Cape. Players may need Sneasler to reach it.
  2. Wisp #6 is on the top of a hill on Veilstone Cape. Look at the map, and there should be a cave marker above the Veilstone Cape text. To the left of the cave marker, on the hill overlooking Veilstone Cape, is the sixth wisp. Trainers will need Sneasler to get this one.
  3. Wisp #7 is in the same area as Wisp #6, but on the other side of Veilstone Cape's mountains. Use Sneasler to climb down to the ledge with the wisp.
  4. Wisp #8 is on the mountain north of Spring Path.
  5. Wisp #9 is on the right edge of Spring Path.

Wisps #10-14

  1. Wisp #10 is along a path to the very north of Islespy Shore. Players will know they're close if they can see an Octillery nearby.
  2. Wisp #11 requires Basculegion for surfing across the water. It's on a small island at the top-center of the map.
  3. Wisp #12 is on Firespit Island. Warp to Firespit Island or surf to the entrance. There's a path with a Magmar that goes straight and forkes off to the left. Climb the left, upper path where the Magmar is, and the wisp will be there.
  4. Wisp #12 is on a small island at the top north-right (northeast) of the map.
  5. Wisp #14 is on a small island to the right of Seagrass Haven and north of Lunker's Lair.

Wisps #15-17

  1. Wisp #15 is on the ring finger of Hand's Reach.
  2. Wisp #16 is on a small island to the left of the thumb of Hand's Reach.
  3. Wisp #17 is on the first small island north of Tombolo Walk. The quickest way to get to Tombolo's Walk is to warp to the second Coastland's camp and go south with Basculegion.

Wisps #18-20

  1. Wisp #18 is on the southernmost small island of the Cobalt Coastlands. Go southeast of Hideaway Bay.
  2. Wisp #19 is on an island in the middle of the big lagoon of Bathers' Lagoon.
  3. Wisp #20 is on a ledge overlooking the sea to the right of Aipom Hill.
