Pokemon is one of the highest-grossing franchises of all time, and its ever-growing cast of pocket monsters has played a huge role in the lasting success of the series. Despite the incredible amount of existing creatures that have only expanded across nine generations, the fan project known as Pokemon Infinite Fusion has become a popular way to combine different designs from the Pokemon games through sprites both within and outside its gameplay.

A vehicle for creating some of the coolest combinations of existing Pokemon that have ever been proposed, Pokemon Infinite Fusion can also be used for more alternative combinations. Often the source of funny images for custom sprites that mix ill-fitting Pokemon, Infinite Fusion is famous for some of the outlandish and hilarious pairings it can produce. A classic example of an innately "cursed" Pokemon design, Mr. Mime's clown-esque appearance has creeped fans out since the dawn of the first generation. By its very nature, Mr. Mime can create a freaky result when combined with nearly every Pokemon, but some stand out as examples of the most disturbing designs available at all.

Mr. Mime and Pinsir

Losing the familiarity of Pinsir's insect theme through the bright, human skin colors of Mr. Mime, a verticle, toothed mouth makes this one of the scariest creatures one could encounter in the Pokemon world. Reaching out with a friendly clown hand as if it doesn't resemble a hellish demon, the creature that can be ironically called "Mr. Sir" is sure to make some players glad that fusions haven't come to the official Pokemon games. With an extremely intimidating soul stare, the eyes of Mr. Mime's fusions can be the scariest part of all.

Mr. Mime and Ditto

Hardly resembling a Pokemon at all, this fusion with Ditto creates a humanoid resembling a formless doppelganger that would be terrifying to encounter alone at night. The gooey body of Ditto combines with Mr. Mime's gangly proportions to create a creature that seems like it can barely maintain its form. With its seemingly plastered-on smile and hunched posture, this fusion loses the little cuteness and comfort evoked by Mr. Mime in favor of a pure nightmare factor.

Mr. Mime and Parasect

Possibly the most disturbing of all, this fusion sees Mr. Mime becoming a lifeless puppet controlled by the fungus that is the Pokemon Parasect. Fitting with the lore that all Parasect are actually zombielike crustacean bodies being piloted by the Cordyceps-esque spores, this Mr. Mime has combined its Psychic typing with this concept to become a terrifying humanoid interpretation. Limp with lifeless eyes that capture none of Parasect's cuteness, the subtle presence of multiple legs only makes "Mr. Sect" all the more unnerving.

Mr. Mime and Tentacruel

Fittingly known as "Mr. Cruel", this fusion sees Mr. Mime becoming a terrifying creature by integrating the body structure of the jellyfish and cephalopod-inspired Pokemon Tentacruel. Typically a majestic and believable member of the ecosystem, Tentacruel's design is completely corrupted by the fleshy texture of Mr. Mime's human-like skin. What was once defined texture on the body of a sea creature becomes ugly wrinkles on the fleshy face of a being whose tentacles have become a grouping of creepy clown legs. To top it all off, the empty expression seen on eyes that resemble those of a squid makes this fusion feel like a truly sinister entity. Possibly the biggest piece of evidence as to why Mr. Mime should never be fused carelessly, monsters like this make Mr. Rime look greater than ever.

Pokemon Infinite Fusion can be downloaded and played on PC.
