Following in the footsteps of its predecessor Pokemon Bank, Pokemon Home provides fans with the chance to take their favorite Pokemon from each game along with them in new adventures and regions. Since the cloud-based storage service launched in early 2020, fans have not only had an easy way to store and transfer all their favorite Pokemon from the franchise's recent games, but also seen a plethora of unique Pokemon given away through the service. However, Pokemon's premiere transfer system still has yet to come to the newest entries in the series. The last year has seen Pokemon release two major new entries between the long-awaited Gen 4 remakes Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl and the highly-anticipated re-imagining of the franchise in Pokemon Legends: Arceus. With both of these games seeing plenty of success for the Pokemon Company, fans naturally looked to Pokemon Home as a way to bring over their favorites from Sinnoh and Hisui, but both games have yet to be added to the service. Recently, a prominent Pokemon leaker offered an update on the progression of these games being added to the storage system.RELATED: Rumor: Pokemon Home Could Be Coming to Brilliant Diamond, Shining Pearl, and Legends: Arceus SoonPokemon leaker CentroLeaks provided fans with an update about what to expect when Pokemon Home compatibility finally arrives to the new games. Though no release date was revealed in the post, CentroLeaks revealed that Pokemon Home will natively recognize Legends: Arceus' variety of exclusive Poke Balls and the newest game in the franchise will be able to transfer in creatures not only from its fellow Switch games, but also Pokemon added from Pokemon GO assuming those Pokemon already exist within Legends.

However, one point that drew the ire of many fans is what happens to Pokemon from Legends: Arceus when transferred to Sword and Shield or Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. According to CentroLeaks, Pokemon transferred into the other games from the Hisui region will have their moves replaced with the standard moveset for whatever game they are arriving to, with Pokemon from Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl seeing similar effects. No mention was made as to what would happen to the stat values of Pokemon transferred from Arceus, with the Hisui game allowing players to raise stats with "Grit" items.

While many fans of the franchise are itching to bring their Pokemon partners from Arceus over to its counterpart Switch games, another opportunity for trainers to bring their companions is looming on the horizon. Pokemon's ninth generation is just around the corner with Scarlet and Violet confirmed to be releasing later this year, giving fans another opportunity to travel, capture, and battle with both new Pokemon and old favorites. Pokemon Home's integration with Legends: Arceus and BDSP will give fans the opportunity to bring their trusted companions along for the new adventure.

Pokemon Home is available now for Nintendo Switch and mobile devices.
